WHEN OUR ASPIRATIONS DON'T COME TRUE

We start off in life with few dreams other than what's on our mind in the immediate future, we know in reality very little so our minds aren't cluttered up with endless possibilities, options or the material values of life. We know what love is but we rarely know what it is called, we don't know what respect is to a large extent and similarly don't understand what disrespect is, but we know what we want or think we what and definitely don't want. In short we are immature, everything we think is a very limited knowledge of life and what our parents have taught us or we have picked up on, so that can explain a lot as to how we think and act. As we get older our minds develop and our aptitudes also likewise form a complex understanding of our abilities, thoughts, intelligence, common sense and ideas as to how we personally would like life to unfold. We often have at least a two pronged version of life ahead, an ideal version and a version that incorporates reality to a very basic degree, however for some the dividing line is very narrow.

Life is a learning curve and sometimes that curve is vertical such is the lesson or lessons that we are confronting and trying our best to sort out. In fact at times so much is happening all at once that we often take a back seat and wonder what it's all about and that will things ever be the same or even just get better. But they do, we struggle or muddle onwards, we come through it all. Some seemingly come through the dark areas quicker than others, but there is usually a reason for this and there is usually something within the self that helps us along or hinders our pathway, attitude being one of the biggest pluses or minuses in our mental conditioning. Dwelling on the problem stop us seeing the solution, telling all and sundry about the state of our life can in effect give it gravitas in as much as it makes it into an even bigger episode and thus we now have to deal with a 'monster' we have created in our mind and try to give updates to those unfortunate ones that are silly enough to listen.

Disappointment shouldn't be an entity in our lives, it shouldn't be a weight that bears down upon us and stifles our creativity or zest to go forward. It shouldn't end up as a regret, nor should it be viewed as any kind of failure, in fact the reality is that all the really great people who have made a difference have failed endless times in their quest to reach whatever it is they were trying to attain. Very few indeed had help either, they were scorned by not only onlookers who were either sceptical or jealous but their own negative families who were in themselves dull, boring and uneventful in their own outlook. Many a person has set out in life to do one thing only to end up doing something completely different and a million miles away from their original thoughts.

As we travel life's high road we are exposed to many people, events and situations that offer opportunities that are way beyond our thoughts and feelings, these often stimulate areas within that laid dormant for many years and possible never ever been evaluated so we have never acted upon same. It doesn't matter what time of life we start something, it's immaterial we need to follow our pathway and not the bystanders pathways who are always full of negativity. We must never ever ask advice from anyone who has an aspiration less than our own, no matter who they are, their answers will be full of their own fears and insecurities. There is but one way in life and that is forward, regrets amount to nothing, wrong pathways account for experience and inner personal desire is ours and ours alone. We must always surround ourselves with positive people as they will want you to succeed even if they are not quite sure what it is you are doing, their sole energy however is love based, and that is enough for success. We must keep an open mind at all times even if we have a defined goal because if we are too rigid then opportunities that become available will float by to those who are more receptive and that enhance areas that we have never even thought about. It's good to be strong and persevere but at the same time expedient to be open to what we don't know which amounts to far more than we do know and there lies the success quotient.

When our original aspirations come to nought or don't materialise in the way we would have liked then it's time to review everything about us and around us. It's not to say downscaling or moving on or changing tack. Life is to be enjoyed come what may and the journey has to be enjoyed too, for if we put off enjoyment until our goal has been reached then it's all far too late and the moments en-route have been lost and if they are lost life is lost or at worst wasted. Not everything will become what we want it to be and we can't compare either, that doesn't hold water, neither does the thought of "it's not fair", etc. We are the masters of our ourselves whatever transpires, and thus we need to be at one with life as it has to be lived, enjoyed, laughed at at, kicked into shape. put into place and when we end up at the finish line all exhausted we can say "what a journey" with peace of mind and a restful heart. Many become successful (and that's subjective)  only to have had no life en-route and they tend to forget the bad times enjoying only what's left. Make sure that whatever happens you enjoy every moment you can as it can't ever be repeated.

FINDING THE SIGNAL IN THE NOISE

All around us is noise of some sort, whether it's the neighbours children, traffic, aircraft flying over, loud music, etc, whatever it is there whether we hear it or not. On the other side of the audible spectrum there resides another dimension in sound one that has defined purpose as well as other random sounds too, but for ourselves this organised noise is what makes life for us what it is today. It's the invisible signal noise of radio, television, internet, our mobile phones, our remote control units, sat nav, and the rest it's all there on designated frequencies doing what its supposed to do. In between that the ambient noise or white noise exists, it's the stuff that we can hear and something we either love or not, country dwellers experience different ambient noises from those living in the cities and by further definition those living near railways and airports experience variants within all of that, etc. The world in which we live we is bombarded by advertising all promising the thought of something better, success, keys to this n' that, instant point scoring, increase your rating, get your business more aware, nay for a small fee the secrets of the universe will uncovered by - whoever, it's all there if we choose to look, and if we don't choose to look they are there to tell us anyway. We are a brilliant and boastful and deceitful society mixing a little of this, a little of that and with a bit of strategic marketing until it all comes together as "today's flavour" an elixir that everyone just 'has' to buy, all very California. Which is not to say it doesn't work, but what it doesn't bring into its algorithms are the times lines and numerous coefficients that actually stop it being a run away success, as most products" have like pre-packed food a shelf life after which it doesn't go off as such but becomes superseded by an updated model, by another creator, definitely very California.

There is a purpose and a success trail for all of us, and whilst latching on to others formulas and strategies which may coincide or assist us with what we are doing we can if not careful get bogged down in areas which are not conducive nor creative to what we are doing, even if in themselves they are fabulous. There is a degree of uniqueness about each and every one of us whether we allow this to shine or keep it behind locked doors is down to us. Our uniqueness is very real, we can hear the voice of our partner or friend over and above all others if close by, and if we really try we can hear other information too that many just allow to pass by. Similarly if we seek a trajectory in life or a way forward it must be something that resonates well even if initially we are the only ones to see it, which is often the case. Within the "white noise" there is "our pathway" our own unique signal that no amount of promotion or advertising will help secure or bring around success, if what we are aiming for doesn't have that resounding feeling and resonance then it will just be something that's smart or good but goes no further, and how many times have we all seen that, and indeed perhaps with our own projects not proceeding as wished.

In the space arena stations are all over the world listening for those feint sounds that will indicate a potential, we can hear noises in our car when it goes wrong, and indeed surveillance systems listen for those extraordinary sounds over and above the backdrop of commonplace to decipher and deceminate tell tale areas that give knowledge and advantage. Out there waiting to help us all become rich and famous are those who for a fee will 'tell all' their systems, (or rather unlock a bit at a time costing each step of the way) unleashing designer understanding, knowledge, methodology, schemes, etc, which will enable us to reach  where we think we need to be or if greedy desire. For many their desire is possibly a step too far even if what they do is commendable, it's a bit like driving a normal car 'off road' whereas a 4x4 would have been the best option. It's these nuances and differences that sometimes just can't take in or accommodate differences that even experts don't see or want to see for fear themselves of losing a sale. If what we do is inherent then we would 'see' the little things that are likely to accelerate where we need to go, or have some catalytic action and within that 'white noise' we would both see and feel that pathway which others would completely miss out or be oblivious of.

YOU AREN'T ALONE

There's a big difference between being alone and feeling lonely, the former is just that - you are alone, with few or no one around you, the latter is a feeling of isolation even in the midst of friends and loved ones where your inner thoughts are cocooned in a dialogue of their own usually linked to a mind condition or a feeling that things aren't going so well. It could however be that you have "moved on" in life and those around you whilst good people don't offer anymore the support you need and the type of camaraderie you require to enjoy life. It's very easy to be judgmental here but "Feeling Alone" is a very personal thing and it's purely down to the individual as to how they perceive life. Sometimes it's the little things in life that can trip us up the most, like the little stones in our shoes, as small as they are they produce great discomfort and we have to literally stop to remove same. Even when everything appears to be going well, we can feel totally "out of it" to the extent that we go through the motions of life and robotically laugh, join in make arrangements etc, whilst at the same time our minds are literally elsewhere, and our thoughts are churning around discussing life and how we best fit in with it all and that 'elusive' goal of satisfaction and completeness or lack of it.

How we perceive life is down to us, this stays with us throughout the whole of our lives so it's vitally important that we get some semblance of understanding as to who we are, where we are and all that surrounds us. If we have a belief then we already know that God is at hand, for those that don't believe or believe in some weird evil religion then you just winge and moan and still nothing happens. The fact that when we go through an ordeal we do feel alone even if at times we come across others who have or are going through the same thing, there's always a 'let out' clause for them but never yourself, it's this 'self' that holds us back. Very few if any at all are experiencing something unique, even if it's unique to ourselves, it's our 'mind-set' and that mind set can be pivotal as to how we pull through, come through or deal with life and enjoy it all at the other end. Nothing lasts for ever be it good or bad, having said that the median in between can give a rewarding life that's fun and productive and sharing amongst fellow man. Even if we go to the doctors and receive some tablets etc, we receive tablets because somewhere there are 1000's of others needing the same remedial drug for the same problem.

There are various "chat lines" and "blogs" and suchlike that are user friendly and directed towards specific topics where people can openly under a pseudonym pour out their problems to like minded souls and receive correspondence of encouragement and help and advice, and at times this can be the best help around. Often knowing that you are not alone can be so elevating that the severity of the problem can be almost halved in a split second. Whether we have a secret fetish, secret desires or feelings which to us are "all out of the ordinary" finding that "other" person or persons can make a world of difference and if we seek we will find, although those others we seek will be hiding in the background so diligence is par for the course. We can be our biggest problem, and we are experts at making up excuses for ourselves and why it's always easier for someone else but in "my" case, it's just not possible or too difficult, and so the pathetic trail of excuses goes on and on and on, and nothing gets resolved. One main element of freeing up the self is to detach oneself literally from the public gaze in as much as you neither want nor need comments or opinions of others who know nothing of your plight even if they know you personally, there's always that little something they don't know and everyone should understand that about everyone else.

Liberating the self is essential, it doesn't mean making public your feelings nor anything else it just means taking charge of whom you are and walking with it, without explanation to others, which at times others who can actually semi-demand to know what you have been up to and if you don't let on they get upset, so let them, boundaries always need to be respected and if their assessment of you changes then so be it, for at times if you acquiesce to their demand you not only lower your own self esteem they may just not understand and walk away anyway, you have to judge this yourself. On the other side of the fence you may be in a precarious position whereby you need friends just for emotional support but it's essential that you have the right friends and the right quantity and quality of support for if it's too much either way it can become burdensome and topple all you seek as support. Even in times of dire need when the world looms large and you feel so inconsequential you are not by yourself, there are solutions, ways out and as difficult as it is in such a state making a move is a 100% better than doing nothing. The journey of a hundred miles takes one first step, take that step for yourself in nothing else.

CHERRY PICKING LIFE

We all like to have the best in life it's almost a natural instinct we are selective when we shop and selective about the people we have in our lives too. Within all of that most people have a degree of compassion, love and understanding which allows us to share with others aspects of themselves, the opposite of which is called "selfishness". Similarly in other aspects of our lives we almost veer on the side of "cherry picking" and his includes quite a number of areas within our lives that we take ownership of. One of those areas is religion, if one believes in God then the chances are you are a member of some religious belief as opposed to believing in God directly as all religions are man made and therefore have faults and added bits and pieces. Many like to cherry pick the nice and easy bits to fit in with their lifestyle and understanding and the rest well, tend to allow it to reside at the back of the mind. This tends to actually be the rule of thumb for many in their lives as they tailor aspects of themselves and thus hone more specifically to aspects that concern them or make life easier.

The problem at times with "cherry picking" life is that it can be habitual and thus we can both live and work in an abridged version of it missing out on various aspects and not acknowledging much of what is needed to give life substance. We can also ride roughshod over others and gradually this will make us appear both aloof and not fully engaged, which will after a time be the case and life will end up as short bursts of 'what I want" at he expense of others values. Whilst here is nothing wrong with looking after No.1 in life (yourself) it can render  the self somewhat incomplete and not having the assistance nor help of others when needed, which at times is essential. No man is an island. Furthermore if "cherry picking" becomes almost second nature then it will have very adverse effects upon any type of relationship whether with a significant other or just friends and associates and possibly communicational skills in general. Like everything in life balance is the key point, we should always be wary of people who constantly "cherry pick" who are around us as you will be always way down the list on their priorities if at all at times and there's no reason that by default knowing this you should allow yourself to be put into such a position.

The opportunities that abound around us are infinitesimal so we rightly need to pick upon both those which suite our purpose and our character too, it's this fine honing that makes life what it is. At the same time we really do need others for if we don't have any significant people in our lives loneliness starts to creep in and that really can be a major problem, and indeed is for many. Psychologically we need to feel needed, loved, wanted and need to feel that we want others even if it's just a "best friend" if we negate all of this then we start to develop psychosomatic feelings which can be very varied and be our downfall with regards mental health  and stability. Having said all of that we can "cherry pick" on behalf of those we like or care for in that we wish them to have the best of what is on offer or available so our deeds of compassion and understanding not only come through but are rewarded by a heightened camaraderie rather than isolation. Everyone makes their own way in life regardless of others, we have to be the masters of our own course and manoeuvre our around whatever is head of us, make sure the journey is wholesome and then enjoy the ride.

NEW TYPE DEPRESSION (NTD)

What many people are experiencing today is rejection in particular the young, it's not that they aren't any good or what they are doing is of no value or that indeed they haven't got any ability, it's just that they have been challenged by someone and they take personally to heart what has been said, and it's usually out of context. Strangely enough it's often "quite nice people" who tend to "suffer" from this feeling more than anyone else, although it's not exclusive. If you are an "all round" nice guy then you are basically accepted (as a person) wherever you go at whatever level and you tend to interact accordingly, make assessments of the situation at hand and predominantly get some form of feedback whether it's direct or indirect as to your judgement. When you start to get negative feedback or no feedback especially in a work environment even if it's not related to the quality of your work it starts to have a negative resonance and it either sparks an immediate anger or 'bithchy' retort followed by periods of silence (which is usually churning over and over the situation in your mind).  In what I do I seek information and views from others so as to build up views and opinions different to my own, that way I get a better and more informative balance on the subject in hand. It's also a case and I firmly believe one can never know it all and there's always something to learn no matter what even if it's just going though the process yourself.

Recently I was offered a series of sessions (initially one off's) with some "respected" business advisers in "respected" organisations, (which I get offered / becomes available from time to time) and prior to meeting up I had to fill in a questionnaire about a whole series of facts and figures about me, my work, and what I wish to achieve, all of which I can do with great ease now. Never the less I make sure what I put down is pertinent, accurate and with details to my websites / publications / and achievements to date, better too much than too little, you can always press the delete button but there isn't an "add/more" button. Bearing in mind these sessions are not cheap I was eager to learn and interchange ideas, views, and receive possibly new information or concepts about what I was wishing to do,etc.  And what a let down they were. The people concerned were very nice indeed, kind, hospitable, knowledgeable, fun, bright, sharp, and yet I felt so let down, they almost appeared like robots just going through one more client as if we were travelling together on a parallel road but in different cars. I left feeling somewhat "empty" within, and what a waste of time that was. And from the many years I've been in business all over the world there seems to be this type of cold advisory platform that I can well understand how many young people think and can now suffer from (NTD) New Type Depression. I wasn't depressed as in fact I leaned why many people don't respond the way they should and it's predominantly that they are treated "as another client" and there is NO personal inter-relationship, the advisers are not only incapable of it they don't even want to go there as it's too much trouble for them. Yet this is the spark that could kindle untold excitement, positivity and great success. Bog standard information is available all over the place most of it for free but much professional information seems to be governed by cost rather than quality and real client understanding.

I get bombarded by companies offering conferences, seminars, workshops with supposedly well known names and what they impart, but most of it is disingenuous, subterfuge, and they like whores try to solicit as much as they can from you in return for solving your problems, making you successful, opening doors, raising your marketing game, telling you all about how they make it, and so on. They are so good in fact it's wonder they haven't been nationalised by the government and made compulsory in education so that everyone on planet earth can be as successful and wealthy too. And whilst some of these seminars after being offered at a high price, reduced price, special price, personal knock down price, etc, etc, do have good information it's all down to the 'solubility factor' and not flashy marketing to the endless stream of 'wannabies' attending wanting to up their game from basement to top floor in one go, or worse still looking for those elusive tips that will generate their protege from embryo to full gown in a flash. It never happens, except for real entrepreneurs who already have that in-built kudos to do it themselves. Indeed these marketing organisations are marketing themselves nothing more. Selling a hope like "anti-wrinkle" cream, it's bought to stave off age, but it only works as long as you use it, cures aren't yet developed. If after all your efforts, and your inner deep dream has not been delved into by a "business professional" (and there isn't such a thing as a "one size fits all") don't get alarmed as all the great successes like salmon swim against the tide, aircraft take off against the wind not going with it. If that "so called" master of knowledge hasn't touched all your buttons and you feel let down and cheated, it's because you probably have been. Don't let anyone ever tell you that your dream won't work, the greatest achievers in the world were told that including one President of the USA. Of course we have to be realistic too, but passion for what you want to do will pull you through, and if it turns out that it won't happen because of certain conditions / situations you will veer automatically into an area that will work. It's your story, don't let anyone else write it!!!!

SHOWING YOUR EMOTIONS

We are by default sentient human beings although I think some will throw that in question, never the less it's a mark of a superior being. As a race we are marvellous people, it's only the trappings and conditions that tend to thwart our real ability to grow such as those in the third world and the dearth of religions that restrict life and cause repression as opposed to praising their God and allowing growth. They all suffer who believe in fear and restriction as can be seen by their backwardness in life and the way they have to rely on others to develop what they find incapable of doing themselves. Our emotions are one of the prominent aspects of our lives, we move throughout the whole of our life via an emotional wave, some days it's relatively calm others it's vibrant in every way. It's these which give us our feelings and in turn we feed off of these feelings and react according to how we deem it is expedient. We have within us free will and therefore we have negative emotions too such as envy, greed, jealousy, selfishness, anger, arrogance, etc, and these in turn are linked to how we feel as a person. If we are relatively secure in life then we get on quite well and cope where we have to. If we are not so secure then we readily pick up the negative emotions and feel moody, angry, jealous, etc, and start to use these emotions to our benefit - or so called benefit - to try and get our own way. It's called emotional blackmail and it's the lowest of levels one can almost stoop to. Where people feign tears in order to gain sympathy, be moody in order to try and get their own way and so on. Keep well away from such people and don't ever pamper to their debased thoughts

Many a young "thug" type of person has difficulty in showing emotion, it's almost a "sissy" thing to feel upset, angry yes, but upset or loving - forget it. This misplaced understanding results in a life of trials and tribulations and dares and a whole host of random stupidity, when deep down the onset of real love from anyone that cares is what is most needed. After all with real love - unconditional love - hurt and upset and anger don't come into the equations (back to why some religions are always killing and getting upset - evil doctrines). Governments are useless at such things as their agendas are power based and so when it comes down to emotional remedies they are also thuggish and impotent even if they pretend to understand. Of course societies and cultures play a big part in how we grow up and deal with life, some cultures are fiery and emotionally volatile whilst others are more controlled and think before they act. Some of the Eastern cultures are the worst in that they make a Hollywood drama out of anything as a means for others to help them, women there do this exceptionally well, it's all conditioning and religion and is a real far cry from living and life as it should be as it's always an Achilles heal for them. Then we get to the other extremes where manufactured effect is almost de regeur such as the real Hollywood awards where speeches almost turn your stomach over with the whet diatribe they come out with.

People react to others emotions, we are judged by them, but it doesn't mean that someone who goes ape like has more feeling than someone who remains calm and stands their ground, it's often the latter that has more compassion and less theatrical selfishness. There is a time and a place and what the outward signs are don't always reflect the inner state. We tend to veer towards those that share our emotional position in life, it makes us feel more secure and in control and enables a more stable stance in life regardless of whatever happens. We can all cry with tears of joy or sadness a development of extreme emotion in both cases, some are more susceptible than others, and there's no detriment to ANYONE who sheds a tear, it's a natural part of yourself and something that one should never be ashamed of. However back to the "thug" scenario, the personal shame of being emotional or selectively emotional, whereas if they were real stable solid humans they would just be themselves and not live behind a facade that's unreal and designed to repress, a state of human failure. We can more often than not even with someone we don't know see through feigned emotions or those who enhance their joy or grief to effect self notice, selfishness has no limits and we can feel within those who are genuine and those who 'put it on', the emotional vampires always seeking others energy. It's good to show emotions as it's good to look good, it reflects who you are and the sincerity of who you are too. Never emulate others, don't cry at a funeral if you can't, don't laugh if you don't think it's funny, but do either if appropriate as and when it affects you, you're not on trial nor do you need approval or acceptance from anyone. Be yourself and allow the inner you to blossom.

AWAKEN YOUR SPIRIT WITHIN

Whatever your beliefs, your thoughts, etc, it changes nothing to the physical fact that you have within you a spirit that lives concurrently with every breath you take. The complexity of the human being is astounding, a bio-chemical mass that is intricately put together, or rather grown together to form whom we are. It's not only a miracle in itself even if blase scientific explanations make it sound simple, we are here a complexity of science living in a complexity of science, our world, both the greater physical world and our inner world, the one which is forever private, personal and unique to ourselves. That spark of life that makes us do what we do and fosters a drive to commune with other humans and bring about development, understanding and to a degree in civilised worlds harmony. The human being is by and large a "herding creature" despite the fact that it's vogue for everyone to "want their space" the biggest problem facing many is in fact loneliness and frustration. We need to feel that there is a value to life, a purpose and that there is something ahead of us or that "what's it all about" feeling starts to emerge which quickly destabilises us and that in turn causes endless mental and physical problems. Nothing in life no matter what it is exists in isolation, there are always causes and repercussions.

Our state of mind is everything, forget intelligence, knowledge, as neither automatically mean one has common sense, many an expert or professional in one or more subjects is screwed up personally and that brings life is to a low ebb and renders itself almost worthless. We are all different as people and have different trajectories in the way we want to go forward, some are almost self sufficient within to move on their own accord, some need every bit of help and push and incentive they can get, and the variance in-between runs wide. However what we do have within is both 'happiness' and that 'feel good' factor ability, it's with us whether we use it or not, and it's linked to the brain, so we can decide whether to turn it on or off. Granted bad news makes us feel initially not so excited and good news raises our spirits, but we still have the ability to make decisions based purely on being happy or acceding to circumstances and reacting accordingly and deciding to be sad or unhappy.

We see in advertising the word "spirit" it is commonly used as to denote a heightened experience or feeling, we even say 'low in spirits' or 'they are very spirited people', etc. The dictionary definition of "Spirit" is thus :- "the principle of conscious life; the vital principle in humans, animating  the body or meditating between body and soul" and "the incorporeal part of humans; present in spirit though absent in body". That vital element in our higher life form, the ability we have that can elevate our whole being subject to us allowing it to happen and living with a degree of lightness within. If we at all start to think negatively then our elevated processes are subject to a down grading, if we try our best despite what may beset and befall us to see the good in life then we will succeed, we will overcome. Of course there are those who go on courses and buy DVD's and downloads or read books on our "spirit" hoping that saged words of wisdom by someone else will suddenly propel them forward and all will be well, and of course that won't happen. There's no free lunch and admonishing yourself of doing anything for yourself by yourself it tantamount to sheer stupidity. If you can't think better thoughts then no one can do it for you, it's that simple. The beauty about human life is it has "free thought" (forget religious repression - not God, religion)) what we think is powerful stuff in that we can decide how we live, if we put our thoughts into a negative mode then we will reap a negative harvest if it's in positive mode then the sky is the limit. If you don't believe that then the chances of life becoming better may have already passed you by.

THE LOVE EQUATION

Whatever we think about love it's an essential aspect of whom we are, as a sentient race we have an overwhelming degree of love built into us for without it we would be no better than drones or robots, just living to live. We also have free will built into us despite some religiously controlled countries that try to stifle it and thus produce nothing in return. People the world over have characteristics of their endemic societies or indoctrinated religious overtones which mould and hone their thinking for time to come. Where love is concerned one wouldn't want to enslave or capture or enforce people because it goes against the grain, except for those who go against society themselves such as villains etc. Freedom is a natural right even though some governments enforce restrictions for their own sake and not for the love of the people within it, thus the populous grows with alien views and often suffers because of it. Some societies are more caring than others and the mentality of the population plays a big part as to its prosperity, ingenuity and growth. If you love someone then the last thing you want to do is harm them, if you hate someone no matter what they do or say you want something to happen to them that's not so savoury. Some religions harbour retribution, hatred, killing, malice, "getting your own back" and so on, so there is no love involved only lip service and no more, it's all two faced and failure orientated.
For some love is a difficult topic, they can't describe it nor its values but they certainly know when it's absent or missing from their lives. Similarly the more love someone has the more it exudes from them, the more those around pick it up and feel it whereas those that hide, squander, pretend, produce a facade, etc give off a degree of hollowness and shallow depth that goes along with their inability to persuade or convince others of their sincerity. And for those that hold on to love, that is they make a statement of only giving it out to those they deem expedient it's the most selfish act one can have. The more love is given out the more it is replenished and life gets appreciably lighter and brighter in the process, the by product of such is a feeling of well being too something that goes a long way to aiding mental stability. Love eases problems, it lubricates our way forward, it assists in us communicating better as the content is more sincere, it lightens the load allowing us to see better things ahead as opposed to wallowing in the darkness, it promotes better health and clarity of thought, it gives us strength of character and brings on degrees of humility that aids success knowing when to say what and not speak from an arrogant tongue that offends and ruffles others thoughts and feelings. Love is free we are born with it, it's a priceless commodity yet so often it's abused and taken for granted thus creating discord which follows and then let down and unhappiness are the byproducts of playing with it.

The strength of a nation is dependent upon love, free will love, not some controlled environment, hence many Middle Eastern, African, Eastern European environments are unstable, unproductive, mentally outmoded, and volatile, where greed, killing, unhappiness and selfishness foster themselves to those that absorbe it as a way of life. One only has to look at the statistics and the human rights record for these countries to see where the love level lies and it's pretty low, where governments at will have no compunction to kill as a means to an end, which includes and always has Russia and China too on that level. Tensions are always high where love is not an element as it opens up a "Pandora's box" of untold negativity that free flows far too easily and out pours itself in malice and deceit and pure selfishness, where compromise, compassion and understanding are overtaken by the "me, me, me" syndrome. Whatever governments do and whatever others do or say, you still have full control of your own mind and own thoughts, and the degree of love you carry within. If you choose to be angry and evil so be it, if you choose to be happy and loving so be it also, what you give out so will you both reap and endure, your love and happiness is in your hands.

PASSING PHASES

For everyone life is full of ups and downs, we don't need to be reminded of that, at times life goes swimmingly well and then it changes to something else, not necessarily bad or worse but like you've just been grounded and almost treading water as nothing seems to materialise or move forward in the way or ways you would like or have indeed anticipated. However if you just accept and feel low when the good times appear to stop then you will have succumbed to a nothingness of our own creation. Everything has a shelf life or best before date including ourselves so it stands to reason that aspects in life have the same, just because we don't want good or nice things to come to an end is immaterial and a bit stupid also. The fear of things going wrong isn't a valid fear as if fear is valid at all, but it's not even worthy of contemplation as it leaves room for instability to take hold. It's funny that at times when things are going well people become complacent as it all seems nice and bubbly, then when it stops they become remorseful and take on that "woe is me" attitude to varying degrees. Whereas we should be vigilant at all times so that the ups and downs are evened out somewhat and we can then best enjoy the good times and not have to endure the not so good times.

The worst thing we can do is forever compare ourselves or circumstances or situations to others, none of it is relevant, and if the opportunity to do what others do or did comes along it would never manifest itself the same way, in fact you would be surprised at the reaction you have should you ever be faced with such choices and availability. Our assumptions in some area  of life are so crass that we deem we "know" ourselves but often perceptions and the reality of affordable or doable choice takes the potential excitement out of literally doing it as we can then see beyond simple areas or mere acquisitions that were once on our "wish list" and move to more tangible areas that can provide more substance both physically and mentally. Many people let themselves down badly and protract a dullness in life through the sheer desire to want or do something which once gotten is placed in the "OK" box in the mind and then they wander on to something else and whilst it may be nice to have it doesn't further their inner self to satisfaction or happiness.

Every area of our life is a phase, it's either work, relationship, financial, age related and it's never ever the same. Maturity quells for most people desires that were strong when young but mean little later on. As life progresses one also notes that the 'self' is more important than following others who if died wouldn't make the slightest difference to life except those around them but not you. It's not that degrees of selfishness take a hold it's the importance and trivia that separates out what is indeed pertinent to your life after all you are the only one to steer your ship no one else. It also doesn't mean you can't follow your favourite sports person or whatever, it's just a perspective that puts you more firmly in charge and allows you to balance your emotions accordingly which has an elevatory effect. If we can't do things for ourselves no one can, even if they assist us greatly it's still us that has to walk the walk and talk the talk.

If you feel that life has becalmed you worry not as that is the worst thing you can do, worry has the effect of neutralising creativity and acting as a magnet for a whole array of negativity which is the last thing you need. Being positive even in the face of adversity is the answer to shaking off both the blues and what is ahead of you that's of no consequence. Positive attitudes attract positive people so if you are on a sympathy trip you've lost, and don't take to heart what others are perceivably doing and you are not, you don't know what they have gone through or are indeed going through either, which could be ten times worse than yourself. If you want to succeed at anything you have to exude it otherwise people will not trust you respect you nor think you are worthy either. So much is in your own hands that thinking everything is at the mercy of others will eliminate any opportunity that's there, people need people, the good and successful need people to keep good and successful it just doesn't happen in isolation. You too can be good and successful there's no reason why not, unless you think there is then it's all back down to you.

THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT

If you ever give it any thought how do you view your future, is it going to be good because you believe that because you are going to make sure it is. Or are you doubtful because of current circumstances and you rely on that as a litmus test thought for how you perceive the future, at the same time admonishing your own ability to ride it out to success. Or have you given up already, soaked in the negative diatribe that that the media put out your resolve is that of a lemming and following in the crowd is basically what you do, in fact it's your conversation which is low, dull and uninspiring. It's not that there's any smart answer to gaining ground for anyone other than the fact that positive minded people do generate a better pace in life than the rest who live in a stasis created by themselves which takes away creative thought. Our lives whatever they may be are in our domain at every step of the way regardless of what we come across and what happens to us, we get periods of time when things go swimmingly well and periods of time when everything seems always that bit out of reach, and whatever period of time we are experiencing it can last for a number of years.

If the media and many areas of science had their way there wouldn't be much left for any of us to enjoy life nor indeed there possibly wouldn't be any life at all. We are all familiar with the "soothsayers" who predict the end of the world and we are still living to read about it in history.  But our future is more about perception than anything else and the whole gamut of global warming and the state of planet earth is about our use more than anything else. The world will survive with or without the human race so it's not about saving the planet it's about saving a space for us on it that's habitable and a good place to live on, not much more. After all we the human race are newcomers on the surface the world has done very well without us and survived ice ages and raging fires and still come out smelling of roses, so far we haven't done anything to merit that accolade.

But within the gloom of media and the despots and the religious fanatics who worship hollow Gods that never do anything at all and never have (the religions) life for most people will be very good indeed. For third world countries life will be pretty much the same in that they will be forever following the West and for the oil countries they will eventually have no income when energy substitutes replace oil which will tax both who they are as a race and what they believe as they won't be able to afford the luxury of living behind a facade anymore and nobody will want them as they are already an unstable aspect in the world which will implode upon itself. Life finds its own level, the good and great aspects of life will always surface and find those of like minds that enjoy life as opposed to selfishly manipulating it for their own purpose at the demise of others. A greater divergence will emerge between those of humanitarian content and those who see life as what they can get for themselves, which is a Godless structure of living deceit and self carnage. But for a time they will live concurrently until the balance shifts and massive headway's will take place for the better but at the gross expense of the demise of many in the process.

Life is good now if you take away greed, selfishness, envy, arrogance, jealousy, etc, all the negative emotions and allow what you have to uphold the joy and happiness within and once that starts life will by its own volition start to grow where before one may have found it difficult to move forward. Happiness is paramount to life for if this becomes an object of desire as opposed to an inherent feeling then it places ones perception of life at a different angle and that formulates not only your thought but your ability to progress in every single way. There is so much untapped worth and fun and excitement and development and creativity that's ahead of the dull and narrow just waiting to be explored and enjoyed and beyond the established rancid commentators who are bastions of putrid dullness and premature old age that one needs to ignore all and just go for it. Those that tread their own pathway make the grade those that listen to media commentators are doomed to a death of their own insularity and false futures. Life is always good ahead for what we see today as an obstacle becomes tomorrows groundbreaking solution and so it goes on. Never listen to the scientists or engineers who know the technicalities of life but contain no imagination for it's imagination that gives life what it needs to burst forward and leave the pathetic still talking about it on their death beds.

SEEING THE LIGHT

It matters not who you are or what you do there is always something in life that you are subservient to even if you wouldn't wish to admit it or even come close to thinking it could possibly be. But that's not important as we all have to live our lives and what others come to terms with or deny or ignore is up to them, after all they are the ones to live with themselves not us. Having a life that's fun and successful and full of potential and good things isn't that difficult unless you are apt to always think a negative way or bring whatever is said that's positive down to earth with a bang as if connected to a piece of elastic, some people are like that. But life is more than living each day the best you can, it's about being observant and intuitive about what is around you, it's understanding more than just the scenery it's being 'at one' with life itself in that if you live with a "me" and "them" attitude then life will start to pall. It's nothing to do with being nosey or nerdish it's just seeing where you are placed within the bigger picture, because that is exactly where you are, and if you want to progress then you will have to encompass areas outside of your own domain and knowledge, otherwise you will just 'tread water'.

Faced with gloom or boredom or stagnation or just that feeling that you don't know what to do to move forward can be self debilitating to an extent that it affects how you think and how you perceive life and  will eventually start to hold you back as your ability to make up excuses will rise considerably. Many people need a stimulus to spur them on yet generating that from within at times is a feat too far it sends the mind running around in spirals. It's thus important to keep the mind occupied not with the daily hysterically driven news that's fabricated and manipulated and devised to maximise it's current effect even if it's of no direct concern, it's who you are and how you fit in with life and what you are doing about it. As long as something positive is done then the potential impetus is kept alive, if there is a constant negative stream then there is every chance life will start to back up and become a frontier of great proportions that will eventually thwart you. Once problems arise your inner character the bit that's usually deep down starts to rear its heads, it can be good or it can be ugly, never the less whatever it is it will from that moment on start to shape your thoughts and feelings and possibly then lead to your downfall.

Overcoming obstacles, your own inhibitions, fears, regrets, false impressions (which are the worst) are not that difficult if looked at subjectively. Being positive in all circumstances should be second nature, smiling in the face of adversity and not taking on others ideas, problems, intentions that emanate from a negative or contrived source should be par for the course despite what may seem impossible at the time. It's the self courage that will win the day those that make something up via their narrowness will in the struggle give up and fall away, everyone has a limit, and if it's a negatively or selfishly generated version it will by its own volition gag and strangle those that perpetuate same. The light and the truth are there always even if clouded from view it's understanding this that makes a breakthrough that much sweeter and enlightens those that take on a mantle of their own smug self that fall by the wayside and realise that their own ego and  arrogance and smug values mean nothing except to pull the self into a quagmire that at times is difficult to get out of. The light shines even in the darkness the clouds move away and it's this understanding that gives a greater peace during the worst moments for nothing ever stays the same.

THE TIME LINES

Most people regardless of aspirations or desires for their future want to increase their worth as to having things that they would like to have available as opposed to placing them on a "wish list". We are surrounded by a plethora of media and published works depicting how we can achieve anything in life by the purchase of a book or attending a lecture or seminar for a fee. But ah if only it were so easy and so true. If only we had to attend "that" lecture or read "that" book and all would be well, but sadly whilst "that" lecture may be stimulating and "that" book may be gripping reading it very rarely transposes to the attendee or reader. It's not that what was said or confined to paper or our "E" reader isn't true it's just that there is something that is between us and the achievements of those that originated their stance, and it's called a "Time Line".

Life is full of a series of "Time Lines" and in our continuum we face many obstacles that although may be concurrent or parallel in nature to those we seek knowledge from it still has that "Time Line" running between them. How To Make a Million Overnight, Laws of Positive Attraction, How To Bring Success To You, The Laws of Spirituality (whatever those are) the list is endless as are the people who write such things and those that think there is a solution and a "quick fix" out there if only they could just find it. It's often this latter thought process or ideology that "I'm Just Missing Something" that drives people in their hoards to find those saged secrets that have all the answers and from there onwards success is just a matter of time. What is easy for some is just so difficult for others, what comes naturally to some is almost alien to others too, and so it goes on, there isn't a "one size fits all" otherwise such books or lectures would be part of the national curriculum and everybody would be grossly successful.

It may be interesting and indeed informative and to some extent comforting to know what someone had gone through to achieve their success, but that was then, in another time phase, with different circumstances, different people, with different parameters, with different circumstances, with different knowledge, with different thoughts, with different everything even if what you are doing appears almost identical, you are not in that persons shoes in that time. You are right here right now and what was available then isn't of the same order now, it just can't be, although possibly it could even be better now, but it never the less isn't the same and never will be. The bottom line in everyone's success regime is that you have to do it yourself no matter what help you get or advice you get and its got to resonate deep within because if what you are doing isn't inherent then it will be an uphill struggle every day even if what you are doing is you hearts desire.

FAILURE

Failure is a word that many people shy away from, it's not nice to be classed as a failure, or to have something not go the way it should have thus it's a failure. But failure has been given a bad name by inept people who basically do nothing themselves and these are the real failures. Without failure there would be no success whatsoever, and indeed is failure as designated by the onlookers really failure because many a time when things go wrong it's not failure it's vast experience and understanding of why things didn't quite go right and thus we are now the better and more wiser to both deal with and tackle life and the problems ahead of us. It's just so easy for the armchair experts to exert their dull formulaic logic on to those who have earnestly and dejectedly tried to forge a designed result and not to have met with those expectations. It's thanks to failures that many of us are still alive and kicking today even the critics of those who once seemingly failed yet in that plight sought the real truth and knowledge and ways to overcome and succeed way beyond expectations and often with heightened success at that.

Scientists, pharmacists, engineers often fail almost daily in their lives for years on end trying to find solutions, cures, technological advances, yet persevere they do until that 'ureka' moment comes along and mankind is better all around for that result. Many a business mogul can relate to failure more than once sometimes through no fault or bad judgement of their own, just circumstantial aspects have overtaken all their planning and pushed parameters beyond the potential buffering to withstand it all. So many small business men and women struggle beyond belief in getting their own businesses up and running making at times great sacrifices in order to keep the wheels turning, but like everything else perseverance pays off even if the route at times is more like a ride on the big dipper. The media and the backseat drivers judge the value and worth of those by what they perceive and can see, and fine let them, because the real successes are those who just "go for it" fighting at times against the odds and negative conditions. But as soon as it all changes then what a turnaround, but then your hard earned work pays off as you literally have life in your grasp and not that of those who judge without cause other than to make themselves feel better.

If you've ever hit the buffers running, turned down endless 'dead ends' being pushed by those who know more, looked down upon by the arrogant and egotists, being scorned by your family for not doing what they think, brushed aside by those that haven't a clue what you are doing nor want to know, rest assured that the knowledge you have is just fabulous, in that you have it all over and above everyone else. Even if at times you feel like you are walking in deep mud or swimming against the tide take heart that aircraft always fly against the wind and what a success they are, salmon swim against the currents and survive because of it. You don't have to follow the herd as there are no rules in life everything has its place. Failure isn't an option, it's just a generic term spewed out by those who can't justify an explanation, you know better and that smile that hides the inner tears and struggle is the first sign of overwhelming success, even if you think it's nowhere to be seen. So many people whether in a recession or not are at that 'tipping point' and like seeds in the ground nothing happenes for ages until one day those little green shoots start poking through.

There are no runways in life nor vertical takeoffs either, and whilst it may seem like that for some everyone has to put up with conditions that they never expected and at times some have to start again from scratch. Whatever your dream, goal, endeavour, it's you who are both the backbone and success, and not achieving your goal isn't failure, often what amounts to the end result has so much been modified because of new understandings, opportunities, technology, circumstances, etc, that whatever the result you're a success and failure as it were en-route has made you the ebullient lord of your domain, no one else. Never be put off by others negativity or not reaching what you set out to do, there isn't a company that hasn't had to change tack en-route to survive and accommodate updated circumstances and opportunities. Let nothing put you off the route to where your heart lies, and if one sees in history those that were told that they would never amount to anything, were told by those who had no vision themselves, and one such person told that ended up one President of America.

HELP ME - PLEASE....

It's of no surprise that right now somewhere someone is desperate for help of some kind, it doesn't matter what it is, desperation is the same for everyone regardless of the nature or the severity of the situation. But further down the line there is a degree of desperation that just doesn't quite hit the 'critial list' yet constantly burns away deep inside of us awaiting a solution that's affecting our life. It's the constant gnawing that 'toothache' that's at the back of our mind that's throbbing away and taking the edge of our every day life, making our small choices and decisions seem larger than they should be and bringing our world into a narrower focus that eliminates or excludes what we could really be enjoying. Whether at work or at home, the feeling that there is just something that's preventing life moving to the 'fast lane' weighs heavily and many people are caught up in this scenario, many that on the outside one wouldn't realise nor see nor even anticipate that such problems exist within them as they smile and get along their daily life as if trouble free. Yet deep within the seas of rage battle against the odds and the inner vision of life is anything but that what appears on the outside.

Help is something that many people steer well clear of and even more so bottle up what they have churning around within for fear that others may judge them on what it is that's bothering them.  It's this mixed emotion of being "thought of" by others that also exacerbates the situation greatly as they then feel locked into a scenario that they don't want to discuss their predicament and feel it's either not that great as to get professional help and again that they will be judged by the professional as being weak or stupid or that they should be able to deal with whatever they are going through but still can't. It's such dilemmas that many face daily and at times problems or mind situations come thick and fast that it can at a certain moment be almost inwardly overwhelming and then sleeplessness sets in and irascibility and one gets on a short fuse and the humour levels diminish and so it all gets worse.

Mental health is one of the biggest problem areas in the West, although it's increasing in the developing world and intermediary worlds too such as those religiously controlled areas that have extremely high mental health issues because of it. If the mental health of a nation flounders then everything goes with it, the Arab Spring which will come to very little in the end will be a curse of those that didn't have the courage and strength of conviction to make a clean sweep, resulting in everyone even the victors whoever they may be suffering at their archaic deeds. It's essential that we like our computers get rid of both the unwanted files and the accumulated redundant information otherwise everything slows up and possibly crashes, as humans we can act in that very same mode, although crashing is something we must strive not to do at all costs.

Help is available in many places even if initially we assume that it isn't or we think it isn't because that way it's easier to absolve ourselves from doing anything, yet at the same time we are only putting off the day of eventuality and a high degree of happiness which we are admonishing whilst keeping our problems at the forefront of our minds. Different things effect different people and it's up to us being experts of ourselves to do something about it. It matters not what others think, if they think bad thoughts you don't need them, otherwise they should be compassionate and sympathetic. Help from whatever source one will find that you are not alone and that feeling of embarrassment and
failure and letting yourself down will immediately be eliminated and a feeling of joy, upliftment, strength and new ability will flow immediately within. Often to the effect of "why didn't I do this before" and to know that you are not alone is also so just so emancipating that ones problems are sent into check straight away and a renewed feeling of ability flows through your whole body.

Whatever your situation respect YOURSELF, forget what others whoever they are think, forget about self created stigma, forget about your own embarrassment - as if you are the only one with a problem, forget about what will the professionals think - they have problems too, forget about anything but getting your problems solved whatever they are it matters not, medical, mental, physical, financial, relationship, situational, family, work, bullying, children, stalking, the list is endless if it's causing concern then it needs to be dealt with and you to get back on track as soon as possible. Getting back into the driving seat is far preferable than to be a passenger in your own life, think hard, fast and quickly make a decision that whatever is troubling you long term, not just temporary events, isn't going to be there any longer and make a move to free yourself up to a better and more rewarding life. One thing to beware is that of selfish concern by family members or friends, who are definitely not experts in your problems and will always give stilted, biased, weighted answers towards what they think and have little regard for yourself. Independent advice is on the whole by far the best solution and one where you can be neutral in what you say and think and feel and without reciprocal emotion which is self generated. It's your life, if you can't do it for you  no one can and if you falter then those around you are of no value either as respect and communication just flies out the window.

VICTORY IN SIGHT

From the moment we are born to the day we die we have something in mind, it doesn't matter what it is but we have something that we would either like to do, happen, have more or less of or see at some juncture. Whatever it is it can vary as time, age, situations and circumstances change as they play a vital part in how we think and vary our perceptions. What we once thought was cool and on our wish list when young leaves us absolutely cold later in life and on recollection we at times wonder how we could even want whatever it was to have happened. During our life we have many an obstacle jump in front of us that throws us into a tangential situation in that we have to change tack or course in order to accommodate our pathway forward and not be browbeaten by the events which have taken place and not stagnate. But being a human being we have already that ability to move forward and stake our claim to both success and a better life ahead, especially in the West even if it's not immediately visible we are aiming for that goal. Our individuality makes life interesting and what one person may want to achieve is of little value to the aspirations of another, there are no wrongs nor rights it's just the way it is and how it is. The common denominator in all of this is achieving and the journey towards the end result, which ironically sometimes keeps on moving and thus our cause is endless, never the less the journey can be in itself just so rewarding and rich as that is where the majority of people spend their time.

Comparisons in life are useless things unless judging a competition as the criteria we all have is different and our threshold levels and aspirations are also different too. Within our remit we have our own individualism and that has a significant part to play in our life and how we live it and how we ultimately enjoy it. The mere fact that we live every day is a success to ourselves in that we do what we have to do to keep ourselves in a relatively stable framework, even if there are those around us who abuse themselves and have no respect for their lives or those of others the important think is we do. Our goals are often subliminal in that we want to build for the future, which is not a goal we set it's an inevitable situation, how we accomplish the bit in between is based on our perceptions, aspirations and a series of fluctuating goals that sometime consume our thoughts and at other times we drop them like a ton of bricks. It's good to have goals or long term aspirations as it gives us a platform upon which to present our case and make decisions. But goals can also get in the way of free thought and opportunities and some people actually get bogged down in forever making goals which causes stress, anxiety and above all many failures as they never attain or reach their goals in the time they allotted for themselves, so we need to be understanding towards ourselves and kind too and not be robots trying to achieve the almost impossible because some book or lecturer says it's the think to do. There are NO "one size fits all" aspects of life no matter where you go.

Victory is in part an attitude of mind, it's not being decorated or to receive public admiration for what you do, that's just a version of public grandeur which means nothing whatsoever, even though some people are worthy of such decorations. The personal understanding of life and that "Victim or Victor" mentality is what makes those who silently fight and stand not giving in to circumstances rather than be the pathetic politically correct nerds who are waste of space and a bane on  society. Everything is relative where some people in Africa walk miles every day just to get water and if those in the West had to do the same thing they would be probably dead by now. Having said that one cannot equate directly such societies as the cause and result of why they are like they are differs so greatly as does the overall humanitarian thoughts behind it all. But success and victory is common to both, it's succeeding beyond the odds, not giving in, overcoming, preparing to respect yourself and not being a statistic of circumstances, it's everything to do with "I've a right to be good and great" whatever that means to yourself. It's not arrogance as it's often just quietly placed in ones mind and thus ones overall attitude is one of understanding, love, strength, compassion, humility, laughter and smiles, and not accepting from anyone what they think you should do or be because it's none of their business.

The difference between success and failure is not determined by others, it's your journey, and whilst everyone may know your name the vast majority have no idea what your journey has been and what you have had to deal with, overcome and do to be just where you are today. It's all too easy for the media to brandish what they think, but the media are cold, impersonal, divisive, greedy and always on the look out for an 'angle' to hone in themselves for what they can get out of it using you as a dispensable pawn. You are not dispensable, success is already a part of your life, the sacrifices that you have made and friendships you have helped and the efforts you have put in over and above what is required already makes you a 'saint' of modern times but without the pomp and public fanfare. Life doesn't get easier, but it can be very livable if we accept that we are successful and it's not down to someone else to tell their version to make it all right, we need to pat ourselves on our own back, smile gently at ourselves in the mirror and whisper -'you've done well', because you have and because you are worth it.
