WHEN IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE

Much of life is based upon perspectives, ideology, circumstances and situations, and that as we all know can differ radically not only from country to country but from person to person. We often ponder and wonder why someone did this or that or what possessed the government to do this or that because the consequences of such have drastically backfired, etc. We listen to politicians on television and at times with amazement wondering if they are on drugs or perhaps need to be or even are they of this planet, it's often that groups of people change their opinions when engaged in different strata's of life. We hear architects waxing lyrically about buildings with sweeping lines and wooden facades that will age with time and blend in, yet all we see is a clinical cold object with unkempt  faded cladding that appears neglected cold isolated and without any warmth that is an ideal medium to cause repressive thoughts and a home to vandalism and graffiti. We hear local government talk of multi-culturism, yet all we see are swathes of foreigners in enclaves that are the new ghettos and where everyone else keeps away even commerce so it houses alien cultural abnormalities and inbred dysfunctionality and gross isolation and then becomes run down and violence, drugs, poverty, crime and social inability creeps in and then they wonder why it's all happened. A slum run by social services and then that's the beginning of the end if not the end already, designer built problems from lax attitudes, stupid and weak minds.

A lot of life is way beyond what we have any control over, not that we need to give up or admonish ourselves of any responsibility nor keep our opinions to ourselves. Never end up like some politically correct idiot that tries to stymie conversation as opposed to allowing free thought, if others get upset, so be it, it's for them to get over it. Often why people get upset is that the truth hurts so they never actually talk about it themselves or they are by nature inferior and seek compassion by taking sides, it never works, they all eventually die lonely. We don't have to make sense of a great deal in life for we do not have to engage with others ideals, morals, perceptions etc, as long as we keep ourselves in tow and others similarly then the sum of the greater usually wins the day, and fortunately most people adhere to a commonality of good. Logic is a good baseline in life, often people action deeds based on temporary emotions then realise afterwards how pathetic they were at the time but then it's too late. Great statesmen can "see" the difference and utilise appropriate rhetoric to put their points across most people don't have that ability, similarly many politicians don't either unfortunately. There is however a case for tempering logic with emotional tack, as logic often is cold and at times ruthless and whilst on paper it may all work well in reality the physicality of actions often flounder because the humanitarian traits are not taken into account.

We need to understand where our thoughts come from that they are accurate and not just something thrown together based upon biased news from the media or a viral video on YouTube. We need to focus aptly upon ourselves to make sure that we are OK not selfishly but accurately and that our lives are important and not the hub of some plan organised by the government or other heartless body. If it doesn't make sense then you have two options it either isn't accurate or you can't grasp what the bigger picture is all about, and it maybe that you don't understand either. The worst thing you can do however is to make an opinion up just for the sake of it because that will stick with you. If you don't know or prefer not to say then so be it, there's no one who can force you only yourself or your lack of self esteem that makes you feel a lesser person and that should never happen. You are totally entitled to be who you are, even if you are wrong, no one is right all the time ever. If you can't make sense of anything either seek "expert" help / opinion, or move on, but don't deliberate on ignorance as that will throw you into a scenario that clouds both your life and your whole integrity.

DEEP INGRAINED BELIEFS

Over 85% of our thoughts, feelings, actions, habits stem from our inner self that's almost etched with our stubborn concepts of life, we do much in life without thinking about it,  it just comes automatically and we at times do things almost robotically especially routine or regular stuff. Surprisingly too much of our subconscious though is negative, it swirls around our minds and gets discarded in almost the same instant. Whether we have something substantial to think about or pressing matters that require focused thought or whether we are just routinely going about our daily chores our mind is flushed with both current thoughts and redundant thoughts all battling for attention. That's why at times we think weird or silly or impractical things about something or someone then wonder where it all came from. And whilst we do ponder and deliberate over itemised areas of our conscious we still have running wild as a back drop a whole host of thoughts and related feelings that we literally have to contend with even though we are used to it happening and at times take it all for granted until we feel low then get a headache.

Many people of religious beliefs suffer from ingrained doctrines and one can hear almost without exception the way they talk almost blinkered to another reality that exists, bringing upon themselves repression, guilt, hardship, lack of love, narrowness, suffering, failure, and much overall unhappiness. Their vision and hearing is selective if not permanently impaired in that they see and hear only what they need to see and hear the rest doesn't exist, hence so much global unrest and thoughtless killings which are anything but Godly. But nearer to home many 'ordinary' people are brought up in an environment of underwhelmed activity and dulled intelligence and their formative years have from the outset been tarnished and for many 'set in' to their personal detriment. It's only education and life that breaks the cocooned mould and allows one to see the bigger picture and understand the microcosm of where they were self shackled into insularity, repression and self persecution.

Some societies also have views put out by their media and some state enterprises too that depict other countries from a re-arranged perspective or even restrict information from other countries. Even becoming more common is Western internal PR which has the Hallmark of deceit being both selective and light on content almost washing over how reality is and how others can't relate to how they are living and how they have been presented by a vision of falsehood. The problem with deep ingrained beliefs such as those prevalent in the Middle East is that nothing good comes about from it, everyone knowing the difference and under pressure living a dual existence saying but not doing for fear of repercussions. Yet at the same time internal pressure builds up like a volcano and once it erupts logic reason and common sense coupled with personal ego let rip and it then becomes a free for all. The likes of the UN or similar play politics and yes it all fails, playing politics doesn't hold any kudos when emotions out rule the self and logic and of course the greed bestowed with undemocratic governments. The same mind that corrupts is the same one that can save and care, it's just that the free will has been tainted by indoctrination of an unstable and unsavoury kind. Where one has free will one has to seek the truth and not a version of it but the real truth and then and this is the hardest part, believe it.

DO YOU REALLY MATTER

Do you really matter, have you any importance in life, what do others feel about you as a person, what indeed do you feel about yourself, and ultimately do you have any real value whatsoever. Value, worth, importance etc can be subjective and objective at the same time, but most of all it's a totally relevant perception. For what our parents mean to us or our sons and daughters or close friends, those significant others etc, mean very little if anything to anyone else. It's not that others don't understand both the moral or humanitarian aspects of those they don't know because they can feel the bonds that others have in similar situations to themselves. The human mind is incapable of incorporating thousands of others into a close loving situation, when faced with massive death it changes emotional tack and thus everything becomes a statistic of fact and names and faces blurr all together. It's at times the media get it wrong showing pictures of thousands of people suffering and starving in floods and droughts - something they love to do and indeed relish the whole morbidity of it, but it often rebounds and becomes wallpaper angst against which few can do anything against the acts of nature, or the despots in the Middle East killing their own kind in cold blood. We can be the most sensitive and emotional people on planet earth yet at the same time be completely insensitive to vast figures of human suffering even if it touches a nerve within at the dreadfulness of it all. Our global understanding is not capable of taking in the suffering of many our mind plateaus out and reason and comprehension take over as it's all processed as a statistic.

The press and television bestow leaders in industry, chiefs of global companies and at the same time heads of state at some event or another with an importance that is often of a hype that leaves the reality of the situation behind, even if what is being done or discussed is of a crucial nature. Yet the reality is, and it's a cold reality, if at a world conference every leader was killed in a terrorist attack ever single country would continue the following day as if nothing had happened, apart from the hysteria that would be drawn up in government circles and to the delight of the media. Similarly, if the CEO's and indeed the boards of the major corporations and banks were targeted in a similar fashion those companies and banks would be open for business the following day, and new blood would be introduced post haste and who knows it could be better than before.  It's always a possibility and more often than not true most new blood kick starts the complacency smugness and narrowness and corruption of the past. So what is the value of people who can be replaced over night? Because they can, there are no exceptions and no one is irreplaceable, even if in a family situation and sadly missed. We cope, we overcome, we adapt, we compromise, we make do, we create, we develop, we seek, we do far more than we give ourselves credit for, and this is where our value as individuals comes in to play. Don't ever farm off or outsource emotions to individuals for something that has no value to you other than entratainment or something to do, it doesn't mean you can't wish them well or anything else, but it can accumulate within a degree of unworthy respect which doesn't lead anywhere postive and produces false values.

There is the commercial aspect to life, no one has a higher personal value than anyone else, they are just people doing a job and hopefully well for which they are also well remunerated. Then there is the personal aspect of life mum, dad, son, daughter, brother sister, family, friend, who do what they do because of the love aspect, maybe not perfectly but they do love and this is where value comes into force. The whole human race is a love based society take love away and they are nothing more than  robots or drones living to live and that's it. And do we matter, as individuals yes we do, as a figurehead no matter how good- no, as a celebrity- no, as a head of a corporation - no, as a head of a financial institution - no, they can always be replaced even if those in power don't know of anyone else it's their ignorance not that others don't exist. As an individual you definitely do matter, there are those who would weep, be saddened, be upset, miss you dearly if you were no longer here. If those in high office died would you miss them no, would they miss you if you died - who are you, they wouldn't have a clue. And again do we matter, yes if you believe in God then you definitely do matter, if you don't believe in God then just hope that when all fails that there is someone who cares for you and that your existence wasn't futile.

GRIEF

Grief can be so debilitating that it takes a hold of life and steers you into a corner and holds you there to the extent that at times one feels that nothing will ever be the same ever again, and the truth is it won't. It's not that life won't be fun and exciting anymore nor the will to proceed won't return and life will be as it is from there onwards worthy of living and worthy of participating and communing with those around you. It's ironic however that when grief strikes and it can and does happen to almost all of us at some time in our lives those that we feel can or could offer support like family and our religion offer nothing but coldness and a wall of stone, especially where bereavement is concerned. It can be like vampires coming out of the woodwork all seeing what they can get and finding every legal excuse to get more. Where at one stage of life "love" was a supposedly unspoken entity it's now a cold war and each to his own, where the smiles reveal the fangs and frosty sliver. And whilst to some this may seem gruesome it is unfortunately for many a very real reality. That at times many fear for their own sanity and purpose and most of all "love" for themselves, that someone "out there" knows and understands and will share their real tears and not some emotional outburst like that of little children "on and off" at the flick of a selfish thought. The relations that never liked you or you were the wrong religion, but now your partner has died it all comes to roost their evilness starts to ooze out.

How we deal with real grief is down to us, and we are all different those that cry the most are often the insipid selfish ones that want everyone to join them in what they are going through whilst those that tend to stave off such are harbouring the love of the deceased that helps even through the trauma of the aftermath. Of course and "here we go again" religions mount on the grief trip after all it gives them something to do, wearing dull dark clothes, moping around with long faces, it's as if the deceased didn't actually love you after all and you've just found out. If whoever it is that has died loved you then THE LAST thing they would wish is that you be unhappy, otherwise what's the point of it all. And sympathy is the shallow side of offering real help to the extent many offer sympathy but no help and actually get a "high" of trying to buck the other person up whereas they are acting as vampires themselves draining their captive of energy for themselves. Sympathy has an effect of boosting others up, then when you leave them they have an almighty low afterwards. Not very nice.

Age has a related value on our perceptions in life, everything revolves around what we have done, are doing and will be doing, although the variances and boundaries can be very muted and glide into each other. What age doesn't have is a monopoly on pain, especially the mental type of pain, that is possibly the most debilitating as it literally messes up your whole control system. It's so easy to become introverted when grief strikes that it can form a situation where you rarely come out of it, this happens in the Middle East as they go to town on morbidity it's a way of life as is complaining and moaning yet doing nothing to rectify it, however they don't have any exclusivity or monopoly on it. One thing that grief often brings home is the reality of who you are in life and what others mean to you, your 'family' may be those you have chosen to be around you as opposed to the biological ones who are judgemental and shallow. It brings home too where you stand in life and what all around you means with regards happiness, freedom, duties, life itself and what and how you choose to think about things in general. Grief is but a stepping stone and depending upon your belief you either move on - not forgetting the past as you can't - or dwell forever where you are and carry it as a burden. Never forget if love is involved then there is a real freedom, but a genuine freedom not a selfish freedom that you keep to yourself as if it's something exclusive because it's not.

In times of trouble don't scorn those that you think could offer some support as for them it could also be difficult to muster up the ability to offer it, and beware of those who seemingly offer everything because they can, it's at times those that do little that think deeply and the effusive ones that are shallow. One must always feel the depth of love and the need from others which is over and above sheer words and never allow the feeling of self sorrow to overtake who you are despite the pain that one may be reliving for a while. An understanding of those that now scorn, pour oil on troubled waters, who reject, who reprimand and turn face, who show their true colours be at one with yourself, because the love that YOU had with that significant other was priceless and above their deceitful facade. Life is for living, for loving and that is the only golden rule for grief, and the only golden rule for your own self is that of love at any cost, it's never left, and what was there is still there even if slightly but temporarily tarnished, it's still there in all its glory. Don't ever turn your back on it no matter what.

THE TIME LINES

Most people regardless of aspirations or desires for their future want to increase their worth as to having things that they would like to have available as opposed to placing them on a "wish list". We are surrounded by a plethora of media and published works depicting how we can achieve anything in life by the purchase of a book or attending a lecture or seminar for a fee. But ah if only it were so easy and so true. If only we had to attend "that" lecture or read "that" book and all would be well, but sadly whilst "that" lecture may be stimulating and "that" book may be gripping reading it very rarely transposes to the attendee or reader. It's not that what was said or confined to paper or our "E" reader isn't true it's just that there is something that is between us and the achievements of those that originated their stance, and it's called a "Time Line".

Life is full of a series of "Time Lines" and in our continuum we face many obstacles that although may be concurrent or parallel in nature to those we seek knowledge from it still has that "Time Line" running between them. How To Make a Million Overnight, Laws of Positive Attraction, How To Bring Success To You, The Laws of Spirituality (whatever those are) the list is endless as are the people who write such things and those that think there is a solution and a "quick fix" out there if only they could just find it. It's often this latter thought process or ideology that "I'm Just Missing Something" that drives people in their hoards to find those saged secrets that have all the answers and from there onwards success is just a matter of time. What is easy for some is just so difficult for others, what comes naturally to some is almost alien to others too, and so it goes on, there isn't a "one size fits all" otherwise such books or lectures would be part of the national curriculum and everybody would be grossly successful.

It may be interesting and indeed informative and to some extent comforting to know what someone had gone through to achieve their success, but that was then, in another time phase, with different circumstances, different people, with different parameters, with different circumstances, with different knowledge, with different thoughts, with different everything even if what you are doing appears almost identical, you are not in that persons shoes in that time. You are right here right now and what was available then isn't of the same order now, it just can't be, although possibly it could even be better now, but it never the less isn't the same and never will be. The bottom line in everyone's success regime is that you have to do it yourself no matter what help you get or advice you get and its got to resonate deep within because if what you are doing isn't inherent then it will be an uphill struggle every day even if what you are doing is you hearts desire.

TRYING TO MAKE LIFE WORK

More than ever people are trying to carve a life out for themselves based upon what isn't going as well as they perceive. Better house / flat, clothes, car, spending money, entertainment, gadgets, tv-phone-Wii-Xbox, the list is endless. And of course that base thought about the 'self 'and their relationship or getting one, and not everyone is set out to be a couple despite that they think that would make life complete for them, no it wouldn't. Stick to a "best friend" that way you won't be able to fall out because of not getting your own way or reluctantly having to frequently compromise - which you wouldn't like. It is difficult for many people to gain a better access to a life standard which they deem that they are worthy of than they have at this present moment, but often the change is an internal adjustment rather than an external acquisition, even though that would prove a nice thing. There's absolutely nothing wrong with trying to get a better stance on life after all it's there awaiting so it's not always pie in the sky, it can be real. But often the striving negates the present and if that happens to be the case then real instability of personal understanding starts to take over and what could have been good in the present is reduced to mediocre. Our mental attitude also plays a vital part in life and as to our enjoyment of it every day and not just certain aspects of it with somewhat bland times in between.

Depression, anxiety, boredom, lack of fun, lack of real camaraderie, lack of heartfelt warmth from a significant other / friends. Lack of silliness, lack of personal conversations at all levels with those you can 'talk to' and empathise with, being told off by your best friend - because you really haven't got one, sharing, etc. All these things make a significant difference to the quality of life for the individual. No matter who we are and whether we have 100's of 'so called' friends all over the globe there are those few or one that makes life just so much more enjoyable because you love them. We are all different but our basic needs are very similar, and whether we are globetrotters or sedentary that 'anchor' makes a difference. Our perspective on life and our attitude defines who we are, and those struggling already find that the going can get to an intolerable level because their base understanding in life isn't there. If focus is predominantly on 'hardship' it's difficult to opt out of that mode when faced with it, but if the subtleties of humanity are not there then real desperation and irascibility of the mind becomes more than real and develops into a place where life becomes cruel and the 'way out' seems none existent.

Despite the physicality's of what each person may or may not have life is relative and happiness isn't subject to comparisons nor is it a product of what is to come or may come along. Families can find life at times a struggle if not financially more mentally seeing their young grow into young adults and all the aggressive social problems that they face at increasingly younger ages than they did years ago. Manufacturers and advertising agencies are merciless at recruiting new recruits hoping to wean the impressionable and immature on to their products. They deny this but they are liers. Your children are to an extent a product of your parentage as indeed you are, failure often starts at home in a whole manner of areas, selfishness is almost borne in the home and is not a redeemable asset to have as it stultifies goodness and communicational skills. Whether we are going through a recession or good times it makes no difference to the happiness factor if it does it shows what a chameleon you are and your own susceptibilities to life. There are more "millionaires" made in times of recession than actually in the 'good times', and more creativity is in evidence too. If we need better there has to be a reason other than "just wanting it", if better is an accessory or an adjunct to life it will lose its ability to support our emotional needs, if it's deemed as an essential then we have to enjoy what we have now otherwise our emotional contact with it will forever thwart where we are currently living.

We create our own reality, thus we can either live and like life, even if not perfect or we can forever create an ambient struggle that we have devised and rarely try to accomplish as it's on a wish list more than a physical desire. Sadly today few people actually live their own lives according to what they want to do, it tends to be a homogeneous structure of bits from everywhere else which doesn't totally rest well within and causes an on-going instability and a feeling or unrest without cause.Trying to make like work doesn't work, you literally have to make it work then it works, trying is the journey which for most is a smart theory, making it work is a deed of sheer progress and determination, winners and losers.

SECOND GUESSING LIFE

We all like to get on in life, to think we are the masters of what we want to do and where to go etc, yet how many people let themselves down by trying to foresee events and situations and read the thoughts of others only to thwart their own plans for no other reason. We have around us even in our own families grumpy people, opinionated people and we can even have friends who are like that, it all stems out of both narrow mindedness and again that area called selfishness. The area that's "all about me" and if it isn' then I'm not going to be happy and what's more I'm going to tell everyone as well. It even happens in companies too, you can't do this or that or it will upset so and so, well, let it, what divine presence are they bestowed with that others aren't? Nothing what so ever it's all been created by themselves for themselves and the only reason it's gotten this far is that everyone has allowed it to happen. Like political correctness, it doesn't exist in law it's only the pathetic that find it's a place to hide and try and gain some kudos, whereas it makes everyone look small and insular.

Schools should teach people to make their own way in life far better than they do, it's great to learn about writing, reading and maths, plus all the other life skills and knowledgeable areas, but if we are frightened to do anything it's all come to nothing in the end and produces a whole array of negative areas and psychological events that after a while subliminally affect us, sometimes to great detriment. It can affect our own self esteem and our ability to not do as well as we could do, especially at the impressionable ages. The classic scenario of this was the black migration from Chicago to New York and vice versa years ago where many black families prayed upon their own children for doing well, as if it made the children seem better and the families not as good, so the children had to leave to be free. And whilst it worked well, in as much as the children did well it's definitely not an ideal start in life having to leave home or your own town or city just to get on. Being able to fight back, metaphorically can be am amazing and liberating experience, and once and for all put those 'cloth heads' who impose a self status of grandeur (or inferiority with ego) back into the sorry state they deserve to dwell in or perhaps see the light themselves and become anew at their enlightened knowledge.

Too few people have the self ability to challenge and that applies to management in companies too to equalise the status quo and give respect back to everyone, and not allow some to reside with a self devised pomp and stature which is definitely not deserved nor has any credence or credential. It used to be that many Asian families has demarcation lines and endless duties and "things" that couldn't be said or done otherwise someone somewhere would get upset and start to perform an anger ritual of gross selfishness and endless winging, it still exists but less now. Of course if someone imposes whether it's within the family or work or even with strangers an autonomy of grandeur then it's a mixture of abject selfishness and a lack of self esteem, and it's very easy to eradicate it, because once such people are toppled they are but putty in your hand, worthless entities and shown up for what and who they are and have then absolutely nothing to substantiate themselves anymore.

SPIRITUALITY - IN A NUTSHELL

It's strange what people say about "spirituality" they have their own potted views and thoughts on it yet very few indeed know what it's all about. If you ask someone straight off, "What's Spirituality"? 99% of replies would start with "errrr" instantly trawling their minds for an explanation or something smart to say. And even after some time don't come up with a succinct answer it's usually some kind of waffle even if they get the gist of it right. It's really not however that important that one knows what "spirituality" is all about as it's not going to further your cause in life, but at the same time if one is going to use the word to describe some aspect of life you feel has a degree of importance then one should at least know what it really does infer and that one is on the right lines. The following is a relatively comprehensive dictionary explanation of "Spirituality".

"Spirituality can refer to an ultimate or immaterial reality an inner path enabling a person to discover
the essence of their being; or the “deepest values and meanings by which people live Spiritual practices, including meditation, prayer and contemplation, are intended to develop an individuals inner life; such practices often lead to an experience of connectedness with a larger reality, yielding a more comprehensive self; with other individuals or the human community; with nature or the cosmos; or with the divine realm. Spirituality is often experienced as a source of inspiration or orientation in life. It can encompass belief in immaterial realities or experiences of the immanent or transcendent nature of the world".

Whilst the above may resonate with many people the bottom line with it all is that they "think" spirituality but literally do nothing whatsoever to be spiritual, it just sounds good to mention and an applaudable state to be in. People even talk in soft "spiritual tones" talking about the Universe and Mother Earth and psychic enchantments, they wax lyrical about incantations and a whole load of stuff of past mystical cultures which were so good they've all vanished, and yet these self same so called 'spiritual' people always seem ill and lost in life, never really connecting with anything and are often lonely. It's almost as if many have turned to a "spiritual" route (whatever that is) as a last resort to find a missing piece or fill that eternal void within the pit of their stomach. Whilst there are endless books written on religion, the only books written on "spirituality" and "laws of spirituality" and anything else in the genre are written by current day authors and delving into their past doesn't really bring up the true goods of credibility. And if being on a "spiritual" pathway was that good why aren't millions flocking in sincerity to join and make the world a better place because they aren't. The trouble with "spirituality" is that it's anything you want it to be, it's a great cop out for most people to have the "best of both worlds" do as you want yet when needed spout the rhetoric of the next best thing to God. It's all sad and debased and pathetic really, in fact the irony is that most so called "spiritual" people need more help with their own life stability than those that don't go anywhere near it. People who tend to wax lyrical about "spiritual" stuff are often not the most stable, creative nor fun to be with and many lack any degree of humour, all the stuff than one needs to commune ably with others and life.

Mental health is the biggest problem within the Western World, fortunately it's not the clinical variety but that which has been brought about by the self, it's self inflicted, and the plethora of coaches and psycho-babblers apart from enjoying a good living are really not much better themselves, in fact many are seeking therapy also which is evident from the way they talk and their facial or tonal expressions - (is nothing scared)! We get fat if we over eat, (no one gets fat on fresh air - no excuses), if we feed our minds detritus we get the residual rubbish that's subliminally left, and then we start to be part of the rubbish we have had as a constant diet. Like cholesterol if not treated or dietary controlled it builds up on our arteries, similarly mental rubbish also builds up until at some point we tend to lose the plot, often it's almost too late when that realisation takes place. But back to "spirituality" (it's all linked) if we feign being spiritual because we think it's good, we fool ourselves and indeed let ourselves down. The biggest value we can ever have that keeps us under the best control against everything is "love" for that's the largest common bond on planet earth - and I've been around this planet dozens of times and seen dozens and dozens of cultures and it works in every one. Without love we become drones, with love we become humans, there is a big difference and that's life itself, be a part of it and not dwell on being an alien in your own world (even if you think it sounds good and gives you an instant self created credential).

There are "spiritual" groups all over the place and predominantly filled by single people (usually 30+) or "older couples" all with time on their hands and all seeking "words of wisdom" as if there are "gurus" who hold the key to life and will impart such to them and then "all will be well". There are gurus but not at these meetings, and "no" all will not be well, you have to put something into the equation too, which you are not at the moment hence your own plight. Even more ironic is the "spiritual cloud" which people almost always hide behind and that's the fact that they are unhappy, unfulfilled and need purpose, and their erroneous belief that in wading down the spiritual route it will give them all that is missing in an instant, again it just goes to show how wrong one can be or misinformed. One "becomes" spiritual in the way of thought and conduct, then by default one is automatically enrolled in to the "spiritual pathway". Like everything in life there is an "entrance fee" whatever that is, it's not financial at all it's a deep inner credential and honest and sincere thought with dedication, not the fastidious dedication that leads to dull boring people and fanatics but an overall concept of understanding. Communing with others and life is a good start, if some others don't get on with you fine, just do your bit and it will take shape.

WHEN FAILURE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND

For many people the word failure sends a shudder down their spine, it brings a cold and embarrassing chill to what they have to say. Yet failure is a natural part of life, it's a part that makes us strong, resilient and above all successful too. Every day scientists and researchers fail in trying to find a solution or a cure, eventually they find an answer that works. The telephone, light bulb, penicillin, cancer drugs, the aero engine, even none stick frying pans all emanated after years of constant failure. So why are so many fickle people so frightened of the word or judge others who try and fail yet they themselves sit smugly doing nothing so not to fail?  Why is it that the "gatekeepers" (who are the real failures) the secretaries / HR / the employment agencies so fearful and reticent about it all that their own insecurities and sheer ignorance holds up the free flow of real talent that's out there and allows mediocre people to get jobs that produce mediocre results. The dearth of lowly intelligent management who whilst may be acceptable at what they do have no foresight and are far too fearful of employing anyone who would shake their own position.

Applying vision to someone who hasn't any is always a problem and even successful organisations are staffed by those who again may effectively do what they have to do well but in the process stifle what could have been or might have been far better had creativity been allowed to enter into the scenario. Short sightedness, tempered outlooks, lack of real vision, fearful of breaking the mould, employing the "if it's not broken don't fix it" mentality, all of which is totally wrong. Staid, dull, monolithic structures, bureaucracy which is always run by dull people, and so it goes on. Many major companies pride themselves on units or adjuncts where they employ people who supposedly "think out of the box" and some are brilliant yet the majority are just mildly creative which flatters those that take them on and falls short of what real "out there thinking" contains. Real "out of the box" thinking often comes in packages that most couldn't recognise if it was stamped  "out of the box thinking" on the outside of it.

Learning is a series of failures for if everything went correctly when something goes wrong we wouldn't have a clue as to what to do or indeed do not act efficiently in rectifying it all. Even in accidents we find out why the cause happened and take steps to help identify and reduce the situation happening again. Those that never try because they are frightened of failing are dull and produce nothing of value, our skills and mind sets help others not go down the same pathways and if we keep failure to ourselves and not share the experiences then it says a lot about us and what insular and mean people we are. Granted there are times when failure can be more than embarrassing, it can cause loss of life, mayhem, turmoil, etc, but that is literally a part of life and something we must face up to and not shy away from, nor listen to the throng of people on the side-lines casting aspersions and shouting, for such people are the fodder of real failure and are of worthless content trying to make themselves feel important whereas they are of no consequence in life at all.

Those that have had a whole heap of dead ends, things that have not gone well or worked out, things that have met with high resistance, things that others cannot get to grips with and things that have on the outside seemingly failed are always those that in the end do well. They overcome the dull and pathetic and pseudo intellectuals who have no creativity just the ability to churn over in their mind potentials and possibilities yet it never really works out. Interesting people, people who can laugh, enjoy life, people who are stable are those who have endured, entertained difference, pressed on ahead in dark corridors, gone ahead where others have dithered, had a go, put their heart and soul into it all and just dared to be themselves and not be influenced or clouded by the mass dullness of everyone else. If you can't entertain failure you can't entertain life.

THE ENERGY WITHIN

Life comes in cycles, however each cycle is quite different in that the substance of life in between the last cycle has changed considerably more so now as technology is coming on leaps and bounds even in just the space of a year. We look back and laugh at the 60's and what people wore and the technology, similarly the 70's and 80's and now it's all of a melding of retro and futuristic mixed with nostalgia and tradition all stirred together in a pot of life to produce items and experiences to hopefully elevate our lives. It's this surge of advancement that has left so many people bereft of love, understanding and potential for the future. It's this homogenising of society and within it a breakdown never experienced before of terrorism, which is predominantly Islamic, cultural breakdown, politically correct stupidity, and an unease with young people as to what life is all about causing unrest and for the less intelligent street gangs.

One can see especially on the Internet that there are springing up a whole plethora of groups / individuals / organisations / societies that are keen to put us in touch with our 'higher selves', whatever that is, maybe it's something a bit kinky like a mirror on your bedroom ceiling so you can see yourself at a higher position, who knows? Whatever it is these people have no more connection with life or any other entity or energy than yourselves, even if they have a more calmer outlook, that's self control more than any divine power or knowledge, and there's nothing new here. There is a market however for relaxation and some companies actively engage in this, most are understandably city based as it costs money but never the less it's out there. The companies that indulge in office massage techniques by outside firms are very few and far between and overall it solves nothing, it's just putting a plaster on the problem. Whilst massage can be very beneficial it doesn't solve the root cause as to why everyone has gotten so hyper in the first place. But when finance and ignorance and PR come together, ineptitude is often the resultant and shows considerably as such.

There is without a doubt considerable energy around us both natural and man made. We all know of static electricity when we get a shock from touching something or our sweaters crackle at times when we take them off. Our mobile devices receive energy in the form of radio signals to make and receive our calls as does our sat nav, tv and a whole host of other things like our auto car lock, and TV controls, we just can't get away from it. And from recent disasters we know of high levels of radiation too that whilst we can't see it have devastating consequences especially over time with regards mutating our genes etc. So we need to be selective as to what we call up and try to access with all this "higher self" and "consciousness" and "spirituality", as there are many quacks and charlatans and weirdo's out there who have lost the plot before they have even started. Many on the weird scale from 1 - 10 have already hit the 8 mark if not some beyond 10.

There is also a satanic energy out there and that is very real and many have succumbed to it inadvertently in the search for "higher things" whatever that is to the individual. There are also many religions that are evil based and although they talk of love and goodness do no such thing when it comes to 'walking the walk', the followers never have good things from their God but endless misery and it shows mega-time. Everyone who believes is precious about their faith not wishing to understand that if it isn't real what's left, that's only something that they can come to terms with themselves or feel that what's currently on offer doesn't work but daren't change, it's back to fear again. Fear is the antithesis of love, but believing that is something else as so many are used to thinking fear.

It's not to say that many who go on courses to find their "higher self" don't get some benefit, we can all learn at any age, although many of the people who attend these courses are 30+ and single and predominantly female, but not exclusively. Loneliness and isolation and sadness and mild depression often get confused with the thought that life holds more but it just can't be accessed so therefore it must be of a "high energy" etc, which is rubbish. It's also that elusive feeling that there are 'secrets' out there that have the answers and accessing your "higher self" or whatever it is you want to access will bring one much closer to the reality of happiness. It won't ever, even if one enjoys the experience of learning and meeting like minded fellow lost souls to exchange views and aspects of getting older more cranky and still lonely, if nothing else it passes the time. Our own energy levels are directly related to whom we are as a person, so our physical and mental health are what we make them by and large. Going "overboard" is almost as bad as doing nothing in that we get out of one encumbrance and shift to another, so in the end we end up with a slightly different but contrite perspective that gets us no further or at least see that what we have done still hasn't quelled the inner pang for that illusive 'higher self' which you have already, but if you could actually access it - then what? You haven't a clue?
