GETTING IT RIGHT

There's one thing that really does 'rattle our cage' and that's when stuff goes wrong. It's so gratifying when our plans or circumstances fall into place it not only makes us feel good we even have a different perspective on life and the world. It's a mixture of compassion, elevation and greater understanding of all that's around us, but boy does it vanish when it all collides and goes awry. In reality it's only our mind that makes us think that way because things are as they are whatever happens the good, the bad and the indifferent, it's all processed by the self same computer - our mind. When we try to get it right it's because we have taken care and hopefully paid attention to what we are doing, so if it goes wrong we should have some idea as to how best to rectify it or pull it all together even if that is not really a very palatable idea. Overcoming disappointment is what most people tend to fall down upon, allowing the negativity of the situation to swirl around in the mind and then feeling sorry and wanting a degree of self compassion makes it even worse. The feeling that one gets in the pit of the stomach adds to the drama of it all, the mind searching for those seemingly illusive elements that we hopefully can latch upon to bring it all around again and make us feel as if nothing has happened, but it has.

It's so important to live your life with a feeling of contentment within and a feeling that you can also 'let go' when necessary too. It doesn't mean that life has to be fabulous and full of the riches that one feels that one deserves, but whatever you have and wherever you are and whatever you are going through an acceptance makes the negative values disappear. Mentally struggling takes up thought volume and in turn that narrows the space needed to process creativity, which in turn retards our thoughts, values and perspectives on life which in turn lowers our awareness and that in turn stops us enjoying the best of what's out there. It's a negative vicious circle each element feeding upon each other going round and round at the expense of our happiness, well being, health, all of which is called 'life'. It's important that whatever we do we do our best at for even at times that doesn't even go according to plan, never the less we get full marks for trying, we get nothing for doing nothing and even little more for doing things half heartedly. It's how we process our thoughts that makes a world of difference and it has amazing change properties within us when we are in alignment with ourselves and follow a purpose and direction whatever that it.

Getting it right is the number one aspect of having a correct 'Attitude', for without a correct attitude we not only don't get on well with life but are often ostracised by those around because they see us as not quite responsive or interested in anything but ourselves and our personal / internal thoughts on life and that 'woe is me' attitude then prevails. We need to respect who we are and at the same time not disrespect others which often goes 'hand in hand' , it's this dichotomy that lowers many people's resistance to moving on as they hold on to it and that's needless baggage. A hot air balloon rises when the ballast (the weights) are dropped and thus allows it to move upwards. Similarly life is very much the same in that if we are full of ballast then we will not only not move up we will stagnate and that will cause problems of its own. Moving on is the only way forward as life evolves whether we move in harmony with it or not we will subliminally be dragged along, so e need to end up where approximately we want o be and not just dumped somewhere because we didn't take any ownership of our existence.

THE DARK CLOUDS OVERHEAD

At times in life a darkness seems to overtake us to the extent it subliminally alters our views, perceptions , feelings, outlook and degrees of positivity that we once thought was a strength that we had within. It's only a feeling regardless of the reality of circumstances and not those of perceived circumstances, and although it all may appear very real our thoughts pertaining to our feelings are created within our minds. When we take off on a plane we often go through cloud, rain, snow, etc, only to find a few minutes into the flight all has changed and there is bright sun or if at night clear views of the stars and moon. Life is exactly like that, the clouds that tend to darken our lives are but temporary and we need to understand that troubles never last forever neither does the happiness that we enjoy although it doesn't mean that the happiness will not return to something much better.  It's just that everything in life has a "shelf life" and we need to work to that premise. Knowing that we have the impetus to work for those moments when it all changes which could be as short as a few days or as long as a few months, never the less in between awaiting these breaks in the cloud we have to enjoy life and not endure it. We are the masters of our own body and mind and thus we have to do the best to respect that and not concede nor acquiesce to circumstances that are subject to change at a minutes notice.
Today we have a name for everything, like "None Eventful Progress" - you are bored, nothing more nothing less, yet all of a sudden because old fashioned boredom has been given a modern title someone somewhere will feel that they are suffering from it, and worse still some politically correct moron will take it seriously and now what has developed is a scenario that should never ever have existed. Mild depression is not uncommon but by no means a block or excuse  not to do anything unless you make it so. The more we pamper ourselves the worse life gets which is not the same as taking care of yourself. One finds all the successful people regardless of what they do etc, just get up and go for it, whereas those that don't get anywhere are just full of perpetual excuses as to why they can't or didn't or haven't or whatever it is they have conjured up. Most people who have experienced that "down" feeling and just received some good news snap out of it most immediately, such is the power of the mind. We must never underestimate ourselves, because if we feel down or low we lose the ability to see opportunity and that then is a very big negative aspect of life, not seeing potential, fun, happiness, laughter, etc.

We need every day of our lives to start it on a positive note regardless of the dexterity that we may need to just psych ourselves up for if we dwell on what's happening as opposed to ourselves and getting out of it then we will become the problem and not the solution. We are all different and react in different ways and even have different backgrounds and views on identical problems etc, but what is common to all are the self same feelings of lowness and that is the key problem itself, for where lowness exists so does the 'get out' solution too. We need to surround ourselves no matter who we are or where we are with positive people - no exceptions, they are the ones who are going to radiate the positive energy that you are going to fuel recovery upon and in turn reverse feed back energy to those around you too. Dark Clouds happen to anyone, sometimes they are very dark indeed and can render the self moribund and cast doubt as to any hope or indeed chance as to a way out, but clouds are but temporary and our efforts no matter what they are will force though that little glimmer of light that we all pick up on in an instant. The verve that the average human being possesses is astounding, however our mind which processes all of our body movements and thoughts needs to be updated like our computer software in order to maximise our potential and utilise full power not some sort of diluted strategy that leads nowhere.

NEW TYPE DEPRESSION (NTD)

What many people are experiencing today is rejection in particular the young, it's not that they aren't any good or what they are doing is of no value or that indeed they haven't got any ability, it's just that they have been challenged by someone and they take personally to heart what has been said, and it's usually out of context. Strangely enough it's often "quite nice people" who tend to "suffer" from this feeling more than anyone else, although it's not exclusive. If you are an "all round" nice guy then you are basically accepted (as a person) wherever you go at whatever level and you tend to interact accordingly, make assessments of the situation at hand and predominantly get some form of feedback whether it's direct or indirect as to your judgement. When you start to get negative feedback or no feedback especially in a work environment even if it's not related to the quality of your work it starts to have a negative resonance and it either sparks an immediate anger or 'bithchy' retort followed by periods of silence (which is usually churning over and over the situation in your mind).  In what I do I seek information and views from others so as to build up views and opinions different to my own, that way I get a better and more informative balance on the subject in hand. It's also a case and I firmly believe one can never know it all and there's always something to learn no matter what even if it's just going though the process yourself.

Recently I was offered a series of sessions (initially one off's) with some "respected" business advisers in "respected" organisations, (which I get offered / becomes available from time to time) and prior to meeting up I had to fill in a questionnaire about a whole series of facts and figures about me, my work, and what I wish to achieve, all of which I can do with great ease now. Never the less I make sure what I put down is pertinent, accurate and with details to my websites / publications / and achievements to date, better too much than too little, you can always press the delete button but there isn't an "add/more" button. Bearing in mind these sessions are not cheap I was eager to learn and interchange ideas, views, and receive possibly new information or concepts about what I was wishing to do,etc.  And what a let down they were. The people concerned were very nice indeed, kind, hospitable, knowledgeable, fun, bright, sharp, and yet I felt so let down, they almost appeared like robots just going through one more client as if we were travelling together on a parallel road but in different cars. I left feeling somewhat "empty" within, and what a waste of time that was. And from the many years I've been in business all over the world there seems to be this type of cold advisory platform that I can well understand how many young people think and can now suffer from (NTD) New Type Depression. I wasn't depressed as in fact I leaned why many people don't respond the way they should and it's predominantly that they are treated "as another client" and there is NO personal inter-relationship, the advisers are not only incapable of it they don't even want to go there as it's too much trouble for them. Yet this is the spark that could kindle untold excitement, positivity and great success. Bog standard information is available all over the place most of it for free but much professional information seems to be governed by cost rather than quality and real client understanding.

I get bombarded by companies offering conferences, seminars, workshops with supposedly well known names and what they impart, but most of it is disingenuous, subterfuge, and they like whores try to solicit as much as they can from you in return for solving your problems, making you successful, opening doors, raising your marketing game, telling you all about how they make it, and so on. They are so good in fact it's wonder they haven't been nationalised by the government and made compulsory in education so that everyone on planet earth can be as successful and wealthy too. And whilst some of these seminars after being offered at a high price, reduced price, special price, personal knock down price, etc, etc, do have good information it's all down to the 'solubility factor' and not flashy marketing to the endless stream of 'wannabies' attending wanting to up their game from basement to top floor in one go, or worse still looking for those elusive tips that will generate their protege from embryo to full gown in a flash. It never happens, except for real entrepreneurs who already have that in-built kudos to do it themselves. Indeed these marketing organisations are marketing themselves nothing more. Selling a hope like "anti-wrinkle" cream, it's bought to stave off age, but it only works as long as you use it, cures aren't yet developed. If after all your efforts, and your inner deep dream has not been delved into by a "business professional" (and there isn't such a thing as a "one size fits all") don't get alarmed as all the great successes like salmon swim against the tide, aircraft take off against the wind not going with it. If that "so called" master of knowledge hasn't touched all your buttons and you feel let down and cheated, it's because you probably have been. Don't let anyone ever tell you that your dream won't work, the greatest achievers in the world were told that including one President of the USA. Of course we have to be realistic too, but passion for what you want to do will pull you through, and if it turns out that it won't happen because of certain conditions / situations you will veer automatically into an area that will work. It's your story, don't let anyone else write it!!!!

SEARCHING FOR THE ELUSIVE

Most people have some sort of ideal that they would like to happen or stive for or place to visit or thing to do, even if it's just a whim, it's real in that we register it as something more significant than a passing thought, it resides within our minds and we can draw upon it anytime. Time plays a big part in our wants, when young we are full of them as time marches by we actually accomplish some or what was once prominent is no longer of interest as we've moved on and eventually what we would have wanted fades away into a past thought and more pressing and immediate thoughts overtake us that have more defined residing implications. One thing we don't  want to do is end up being in the "carrot and donkey" situation whereby everything is permanetly ahead of us and we never get to enjoy any of it, ever, in fact we never even get close to it as there is an almost permanent space between what we want and acheiving it. Of course there are reasons why this happens, sometimes our perceptions are out of kilter, sometimes our reality is not properly aligned, sometimes we delude ourselves and sometimes we just don't put enough into getting what we want as it's  etched onto our 'wish list' and never goes any further.

Where we live is the here and now, yesterday no matter what happened is history and whether it was the best day or our lives or we've just dicovered something terrible it was all still yesterday and tomorrow is where we are going to end up. The "now" in our lives is the present, now is very real because it's active and we can move and shake and do things that can alter our whole life ahead of us. We can also sit and so nothing and allow life to take over and drag us along to where it is that we end up, usually somewhere not so savoury. It's imperative that we enjoy life where we are no matter how small that enjoyment may be, for if we judge events in our lives and give them marks out of 10 as to whether they were good or not so good then we will lose the plot and suffer the consequencies. If we decide that life is going to be good to us, i.e. we don't become victims of circumstances we take control of life, then happiness is forever within our grasp even in moments of dire circumstances we will be able to see opportunity, lightness and ways out even if we can't fully engage or commune with that at that single moment in time. Others who just stagnate and dwell in negativity find life predominantly difficult and see few options to exit bad situations and when they do it's full of trepidation.

If we can enjoy the "now" then everything has a place ahead of us, if we can't enjoy the "now" then there isn't much left for us as we will see nothingness in abundance then the "poor old me" attitude will prevale at which point everyone else will leave you well alone. Life is what we make it, no one else can live our lives, they can't think, eat, walk, talk, do for us not matter how much help we get, we still have act it all out. If we outsource our lives to others to take control we are still responsible for all that goes wrong, we can't blame others as we have if effect said "I go with them" so you have agreed to whatever happens good, bad or indifferent, there's just no getting away from the self. However, small moves here and there and an attitude of "I take control of how I feel" works wonders and elevates the self to levels that perhaps many have not enjoyed before or at least a long time. Stop searching, it does mean you can't be inquistitive, but don't negate the present for what may happen tomorrow because by doing that one will be in a constant situation of lowness and then life will literally drag. You have everything within you to be happy, no excuses or muttering that's talk of failure, it's talk of no self respect and if you can't respect yourself no one else will as there aren't any positive parameters for them to go on. Decide on enjoying the "now" it doesn't have to be champagne and flowers and chocolates, but just enjoy what there is or that will be another wasted day in your life, and that wil be the foundation of things to come.

WHAT IS YOUR REALITY?

Everyone has a view on life, how we view life depends upon a number of things and a number of internal parameters, some seemingly have already been pre-set whilst others we have acquired or foster acordingly as they resonate with our overall thought mode. Even asking the same question to a number of people on the same topic can produced a myriad of differing responses such is the variety of options that are available to us and thus it's this difference that produces our own reality. The horizon for instance for some is engaging, fascinatingly haunting and produces an inner excitement for further possibilities and potential, whereas for others it's a distance too far, frightening, fearful, unknown, yet these two views can sit side by side and view the same horizon and come up with two totally different perspectives. It's this dichotomy of perspectives that produces all what we think and how we react to life and why some generate their happiness within, for that's where it resides for everyone, and those that perpetually seek happiness because they are negatively dispositioned. However it's our emotions that display how we take life on board such as ego, arrogance, jealousy, greed, envy, it's always the negative emotions for the positive emotions spring from love where nothing can go wrong, negative emotions suspend reason hence there is so much upset and anger between what we think and others possibly think. Politically correct people are also negatively charged via their own make of selfishness hiding under the auspices of 'doing good' for others or society, but in reality they have appointed themselves into a position where they are not wanted and become gatekeepers holding back truth and hiding their own failings and pathetic inabilities.

We subliminally have an idea of what we would like in life or like life to be like, but that is just that an idea, we live solely in the present and that is where we must enjoy life because if we don't we then end up with historical gaps of the past of not being happy and having wasted our time seeking a future that has come and gone and not materialised into anything we have wanted. Even if our ideals come to pass in a respectable time frame they are never the same as we would have envisaged even if they happen to be better. Of course paving the way for a better tomorrow is good and expedient for most people so the journey should be enjoyed not endured for if it isn't resentment starts to creep in and that then clouds our whole thought process which ultimately leads to a negative perspective of life. The media and following rubbish on the TV and in the press have a lot to do with many subliminally absorbing it like a sponge and not processing it accordingly (squeezing it out) but that's more to do with intelligence and personal thought than the media itself who will stop at nothing to peddle their wares, we do have an option however to discern an option that for many is sadly impotent.

No one knows what lies in store for our future but being positive in mind always lightens the load with regards upsets and attracts positive solutions as to getting the best out of what there is and the vast array of options that are 'out there'. We think we have a 'good idea' but in reality that's only what we know of or more accurately 'think of' and not what is out there as we haven't a clue what really exists. This is where narrow mindedness and arrogance and stupidity take a part in our own created downfall, pretending that we know whereas if we had an open mind a whole manner of opportunities would avail themselves to us. One reason why entrepreneurs do well and the so called "open minded" who are anything but fall by the wayside and then wonder why and feel disgruntled in the process too. Our real reality is what it is, who we are where we are and what we have, it doesn't matter what that consists of as there are no rules levels or parameters, they differ enormously from every person on the planet even if some are almost parallel. But perception is something to be understood by everyone and allowing others to have their perceived ideas and allowing our own to change as we become enlightened is a way forward that can enhance our whole being and give us a peace, understanding, love walk, happiness, stability, improved mental health and physical health that we might otherwise have jeopardised because of stilted thoughts.

There isn't an equation in life as to what you need or see as compared to anything else that means it's all OK. Nor are perceptions of what some have or others don't have mean anything except via  materialistic thoughts and self concocted or conjured up ideals which have no bearing upon the life you are living at the moment, even if you are sadly lacking in resources this makes no difference at all. The moment you place ethereal aspects of life upon material aspects of life you have lost the plot, and yes it's nice to have nice things but that's it nothing more. Perceptions are often based upon security and when one becomes more secure attitudes change whatever is security for yourself, financial, job, health, relationship, etc. However once we attain a modicum of what we think is essential to our life we then seek something else, it's bit like the carrot and the donkey scenario, it's always one step ahead of us. But reality is exactly what it is, the comments about "the real world" are rubbish, if you are living and breathing then you are in the real world, regardless of your standing. It's up to you to make the best of it and not place idealistic thoughts and negativities ahead of you or you will never ever be happy or fulfilled or stable.

PASSING PHASES

For everyone life is full of ups and downs, we don't need to be reminded of that, at times life goes swimmingly well and then it changes to something else, not necessarily bad or worse but like you've just been grounded and almost treading water as nothing seems to materialise or move forward in the way or ways you would like or have indeed anticipated. However if you just accept and feel low when the good times appear to stop then you will have succumbed to a nothingness of our own creation. Everything has a shelf life or best before date including ourselves so it stands to reason that aspects in life have the same, just because we don't want good or nice things to come to an end is immaterial and a bit stupid also. The fear of things going wrong isn't a valid fear as if fear is valid at all, but it's not even worthy of contemplation as it leaves room for instability to take hold. It's funny that at times when things are going well people become complacent as it all seems nice and bubbly, then when it stops they become remorseful and take on that "woe is me" attitude to varying degrees. Whereas we should be vigilant at all times so that the ups and downs are evened out somewhat and we can then best enjoy the good times and not have to endure the not so good times.

The worst thing we can do is forever compare ourselves or circumstances or situations to others, none of it is relevant, and if the opportunity to do what others do or did comes along it would never manifest itself the same way, in fact you would be surprised at the reaction you have should you ever be faced with such choices and availability. Our assumptions in some area  of life are so crass that we deem we "know" ourselves but often perceptions and the reality of affordable or doable choice takes the potential excitement out of literally doing it as we can then see beyond simple areas or mere acquisitions that were once on our "wish list" and move to more tangible areas that can provide more substance both physically and mentally. Many people let themselves down badly and protract a dullness in life through the sheer desire to want or do something which once gotten is placed in the "OK" box in the mind and then they wander on to something else and whilst it may be nice to have it doesn't further their inner self to satisfaction or happiness.

Every area of our life is a phase, it's either work, relationship, financial, age related and it's never ever the same. Maturity quells for most people desires that were strong when young but mean little later on. As life progresses one also notes that the 'self' is more important than following others who if died wouldn't make the slightest difference to life except those around them but not you. It's not that degrees of selfishness take a hold it's the importance and trivia that separates out what is indeed pertinent to your life after all you are the only one to steer your ship no one else. It also doesn't mean you can't follow your favourite sports person or whatever, it's just a perspective that puts you more firmly in charge and allows you to balance your emotions accordingly which has an elevatory effect. If we can't do things for ourselves no one can, even if they assist us greatly it's still us that has to walk the walk and talk the talk.

If you feel that life has becalmed you worry not as that is the worst thing you can do, worry has the effect of neutralising creativity and acting as a magnet for a whole array of negativity which is the last thing you need. Being positive even in the face of adversity is the answer to shaking off both the blues and what is ahead of you that's of no consequence. Positive attitudes attract positive people so if you are on a sympathy trip you've lost, and don't take to heart what others are perceivably doing and you are not, you don't know what they have gone through or are indeed going through either, which could be ten times worse than yourself. If you want to succeed at anything you have to exude it otherwise people will not trust you respect you nor think you are worthy either. So much is in your own hands that thinking everything is at the mercy of others will eliminate any opportunity that's there, people need people, the good and successful need people to keep good and successful it just doesn't happen in isolation. You too can be good and successful there's no reason why not, unless you think there is then it's all back down to you.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH LIFE

Most people seem to have a gripe at something or another, it's not that they are predominantly moaners and groaners it's just that there is something that slightly jars with them with regards certain topics or people or evil religions forever killing or governments being weak or whatever it is. We have an opinion in life even if we choose not to vent it we still have some thoughts and it's those thoughts that subliminally fuel a whole array of feelings regarding life. Over and above this there are various levels of thought sometimes just residing there and unchecked, for example if you say to someone would you like to be more happy in life the answer is predominantly a 'yes. Then if you say to them are you unhappy they predominantly say "no", so what is it that that could make you more happy other than the bog standard answers like "more money", "new car"  whatever it is. It's usually material things which can give a degree of happiness but it's only for a fleeting moment, once you get what you want your desires move on and so it goes, a bit like the "carrot and the donkey" situation.

Wanting more or better isn't at all wrong, it's actually quite natural, but happiness hasn't really much to do with your desires it's more to do with the state of your mind, and your literal mind not something that's hypothetical and conjured up because it sounds impressive or incorporates a list of 'likes'. Life will never ever be perfect because 'man' as a race isn't perfect so we in our judgement have to decide where we are and that we are going to enjoy what we have got even if at the same time we strive for better. That way we carry happiness with us and the joy of life and it makes everything far better and we communicate far more efficiently too and have the ability to understand more proficiently at events around us that happen. There are to many stock questions stock answers, people almost automatically say "yes" if it involves more of something good or tangible, even if they can't readily think of what to do with them immediately. Similarly if you asked someone to name three important things in their lives they initially struggle even if they are married with two children. It's not that those (their partner and two children) aren't the most important things in their lives and once pointed out state "yes they are" it's the initial thought that it has to be something material that's been acquisitioned or bought or a legacy or a winning of something.

For many life isn't that bad, they know many of the global circumstances and situations are beyond their control and that their lives are in their domain no one else's so even if it could be better the current enjoyment is still there and still very tangible. How we think and our reliance on negative emotions steers our course, we are the only drivers of our vehicle called "self" or "me" so if we go out of kilter then we wander aimlessly and start to veer all over the place which in turn causes further consternation and we sail at times too close to the rocks and without any safety boat should we collide. Collectively people can do many things, like topple governments and regimes etc, but individually we have only the authority to do what is expedient for us without alienating everyone else around us and causing further problems.

Life can be good and great, life can be whatever you want it to be. Your attitude is of prime importance for that is the culmination of all your thoughts and feelings and mind set rolled into one and projected for the public to see. So if your attitude stinks so do you and no one wants to know you or help you or even bother with you for why should they if you can't meet life even half way. Do you dwell on the negative aspects of life or the positive aspects of life, because whichever one you do dwell upon will decide your course of action and your degree of self esteem. It can get habitual to see negativity and if so it will pull you down, if you tend to see the positive aspects of life, which doesn't mean you don't see or understand the negative aspects, then life will be full of hope and upliftment. The bottom line is it's your life your choice - make sure you make the decisions that serve you well otherwise you'll end up with memories of emptiness which is not what life is all about.

BEING AUDACIOUS

What separates those that are reasonable from those that are not reasonable, those that have vision against those that just think and do nothing, those that 'see' life as opposed to those that just view life, those that watch daytime television and those that are making a difference, those that write about life and those that just get on with it. Because the biggest difference is that one group are observers who live life as a routine and the others create life as a matter of wanting to achieve by developing and often go against the grain and the established 'safe' brigade who have every good intention but achieve little or nothing when it comes to furthering any cause. Life is what it is, it doesn't just present itself for your scrutiny it's a myriad of options and gambles and designer lead thoughts and gut feelings, it's a plethora of unlimited variances and twists and turns. Life has a habit of allowing the unexpected to meld with the carefully thought out plans and thus immediate redesigning and rectifying needs to take place to keep all on track and under control.

With the exceptions of having an arrogant streak or an ego problem, never allow others to talk you out of what you want to achieve because nine times out of ten they share nothing whatsoever with your desires, creativity, motives or further up the ladder your ambitions and higher inner drive. And whilst those that one talks to might well understand what you are saying that's about as far as it gets for thereafter their own fears, insecurities, personal lack, fear of failure, past failures, and any other inhibitions start to reign in and produce negative comments. One should never ever ask the opinions of anyone no matter who if their own expectations are less than yours, never ever. Be bold, be brave, be out there, never listen to the armchair experts as they are only proficient in talking, be selective in what you say to whom, mingle with many and take in the overall stance, but never argue your case against the dross in life. If what you have to say doesn't resonate well move on, you are not the 10 minute entertainment for others. Just about every single success story has been fraught with the meddlers, the short sighted, the intellectual idiots, the feint hearted, the gross ignorant, the gatekeepers, the bureaucrats, the jealous, the bullshitters, the envious, the wannabes, and those that want a free ride in your dream, none of this is your concern for being strong within will attract those that will help and eliminate the rest.

"Out there" are like minded souls, people who are seeking "you" no matter what it is or what you do, there are people who are conduits, people who are catalysts, people who are saged information links, every sort of person who you need to know is out there and with the right stance you will find them or at times they find you sometimes though the most weird routes and scenarios. Never ever underestimate  those you think have little clue in what you do they could in fact just hold the vital key. Being reasonable is a mark of a mature and refined society, something that's not in evidence in third world countries or some races or cultures, hence they are as they are. But like everything in life there is at times a 'flip side' when the opposite is key to making the earth move and shake beneath your feet. It's at these times that being unreasonable i.e. going against general or common thought is not only necessary but essential to turn placidity into something that holds value, purpose and distinction that has a presence far beyond 'average' and it always turns out that those who originally scorned a project now want to be a part of it.

You don't have to be a global mogul to be "audacious" in your deed of accomplishment, you don't need media praise or some industry magazine to applaud what you do, nor do you need a following of onlookers to give you support. You need to just stand your ground, smile when it all goes wrong and smell the fresh air of achievement when it all goes right. Do it for you if nothing else that way your focus is within all the time. One sees on TV Talent shows people singing or acting etc and they say 'I'm doing this for my mum or daughter' or whatever, and if they died would you stop and never do anything, this is whet media talk and never fall into following such. Do it for you then what spoils you get you can apportion what you need to do after all it's your talent your decision your success your journey your ups your downs, your everything. Take it all on board, being 'audacious' with it it's about you don't be frightened and the results will fall into place as your strength will be picked up by those that matter. Do it for you and you've already raised the barrier to success.

THE TIME LINES

Most people regardless of aspirations or desires for their future want to increase their worth as to having things that they would like to have available as opposed to placing them on a "wish list". We are surrounded by a plethora of media and published works depicting how we can achieve anything in life by the purchase of a book or attending a lecture or seminar for a fee. But ah if only it were so easy and so true. If only we had to attend "that" lecture or read "that" book and all would be well, but sadly whilst "that" lecture may be stimulating and "that" book may be gripping reading it very rarely transposes to the attendee or reader. It's not that what was said or confined to paper or our "E" reader isn't true it's just that there is something that is between us and the achievements of those that originated their stance, and it's called a "Time Line".

Life is full of a series of "Time Lines" and in our continuum we face many obstacles that although may be concurrent or parallel in nature to those we seek knowledge from it still has that "Time Line" running between them. How To Make a Million Overnight, Laws of Positive Attraction, How To Bring Success To You, The Laws of Spirituality (whatever those are) the list is endless as are the people who write such things and those that think there is a solution and a "quick fix" out there if only they could just find it. It's often this latter thought process or ideology that "I'm Just Missing Something" that drives people in their hoards to find those saged secrets that have all the answers and from there onwards success is just a matter of time. What is easy for some is just so difficult for others, what comes naturally to some is almost alien to others too, and so it goes on, there isn't a "one size fits all" otherwise such books or lectures would be part of the national curriculum and everybody would be grossly successful.

It may be interesting and indeed informative and to some extent comforting to know what someone had gone through to achieve their success, but that was then, in another time phase, with different circumstances, different people, with different parameters, with different circumstances, with different knowledge, with different thoughts, with different everything even if what you are doing appears almost identical, you are not in that persons shoes in that time. You are right here right now and what was available then isn't of the same order now, it just can't be, although possibly it could even be better now, but it never the less isn't the same and never will be. The bottom line in everyone's success regime is that you have to do it yourself no matter what help you get or advice you get and its got to resonate deep within because if what you are doing isn't inherent then it will be an uphill struggle every day even if what you are doing is you hearts desire.

HELP ME - PLEASE....

It's of no surprise that right now somewhere someone is desperate for help of some kind, it doesn't matter what it is, desperation is the same for everyone regardless of the nature or the severity of the situation. But further down the line there is a degree of desperation that just doesn't quite hit the 'critial list' yet constantly burns away deep inside of us awaiting a solution that's affecting our life. It's the constant gnawing that 'toothache' that's at the back of our mind that's throbbing away and taking the edge of our every day life, making our small choices and decisions seem larger than they should be and bringing our world into a narrower focus that eliminates or excludes what we could really be enjoying. Whether at work or at home, the feeling that there is just something that's preventing life moving to the 'fast lane' weighs heavily and many people are caught up in this scenario, many that on the outside one wouldn't realise nor see nor even anticipate that such problems exist within them as they smile and get along their daily life as if trouble free. Yet deep within the seas of rage battle against the odds and the inner vision of life is anything but that what appears on the outside.

Help is something that many people steer well clear of and even more so bottle up what they have churning around within for fear that others may judge them on what it is that's bothering them.  It's this mixed emotion of being "thought of" by others that also exacerbates the situation greatly as they then feel locked into a scenario that they don't want to discuss their predicament and feel it's either not that great as to get professional help and again that they will be judged by the professional as being weak or stupid or that they should be able to deal with whatever they are going through but still can't. It's such dilemmas that many face daily and at times problems or mind situations come thick and fast that it can at a certain moment be almost inwardly overwhelming and then sleeplessness sets in and irascibility and one gets on a short fuse and the humour levels diminish and so it all gets worse.

Mental health is one of the biggest problem areas in the West, although it's increasing in the developing world and intermediary worlds too such as those religiously controlled areas that have extremely high mental health issues because of it. If the mental health of a nation flounders then everything goes with it, the Arab Spring which will come to very little in the end will be a curse of those that didn't have the courage and strength of conviction to make a clean sweep, resulting in everyone even the victors whoever they may be suffering at their archaic deeds. It's essential that we like our computers get rid of both the unwanted files and the accumulated redundant information otherwise everything slows up and possibly crashes, as humans we can act in that very same mode, although crashing is something we must strive not to do at all costs.

Help is available in many places even if initially we assume that it isn't or we think it isn't because that way it's easier to absolve ourselves from doing anything, yet at the same time we are only putting off the day of eventuality and a high degree of happiness which we are admonishing whilst keeping our problems at the forefront of our minds. Different things effect different people and it's up to us being experts of ourselves to do something about it. It matters not what others think, if they think bad thoughts you don't need them, otherwise they should be compassionate and sympathetic. Help from whatever source one will find that you are not alone and that feeling of embarrassment and
failure and letting yourself down will immediately be eliminated and a feeling of joy, upliftment, strength and new ability will flow immediately within. Often to the effect of "why didn't I do this before" and to know that you are not alone is also so just so emancipating that ones problems are sent into check straight away and a renewed feeling of ability flows through your whole body.

Whatever your situation respect YOURSELF, forget what others whoever they are think, forget about self created stigma, forget about your own embarrassment - as if you are the only one with a problem, forget about what will the professionals think - they have problems too, forget about anything but getting your problems solved whatever they are it matters not, medical, mental, physical, financial, relationship, situational, family, work, bullying, children, stalking, the list is endless if it's causing concern then it needs to be dealt with and you to get back on track as soon as possible. Getting back into the driving seat is far preferable than to be a passenger in your own life, think hard, fast and quickly make a decision that whatever is troubling you long term, not just temporary events, isn't going to be there any longer and make a move to free yourself up to a better and more rewarding life. One thing to beware is that of selfish concern by family members or friends, who are definitely not experts in your problems and will always give stilted, biased, weighted answers towards what they think and have little regard for yourself. Independent advice is on the whole by far the best solution and one where you can be neutral in what you say and think and feel and without reciprocal emotion which is self generated. It's your life, if you can't do it for you  no one can and if you falter then those around you are of no value either as respect and communication just flies out the window.

OVERCOMING ANYTHING

Whatever you think or whatever you apportion to your circumstances or upbringing or race or religion it all boils down to you, you are the one who decides who you are and what you are and not others. It's you who walks in your shoes, it's you who eats sleeps and drinks in your skin, and at the end of the day this happens literally until you die, it's you who is the person who is laid to rest, no one else can ever do that.  The real truth is that if you think you can't you probably won't because you are stacking all the odds against yourself, and if you think you can you have every possibility of doing so. And if you have a chip on your shoulder you'll forever have problems in your life, forever. If for one moment you ever bring yourself down or compare yourself to people of a lesser disposition or lowness then that's by default your Achilles heal that is going to tether yourself to being a lower common denominator within what hope you ever have, even if it's said in jest. Where the mind goes the body follows so it if failure is somewhere amongst your thoughts as a base parameter then that's what is going to be the default thought especially when times get tough or great decisions have to be made. Whatever help or opportunities come your way it's you who will make or break them, it's you who will enjoy the energy of opportunity that exists or turn it in to fear, it's the same energy  it's purely down to how it's used or transmuted. Like Uranium you either make a bomb and blow yourself up or harness it to make nuclear electricity.

Success is not listening to the throng of backseat commentators, it's keeping your own council and surrounding yourself with positively minded people. It's getting into the habit if it's not a natural occurrence to talking positive and not seeing life as 'me and them' as that will further segregate your thoughts as to climbing higher up the ladder. Being reclusive will only furthermore reduce life to something that is lived within the mind and not in the world itself, sharing energy of a positive nature and elevating conversations will introduce conduits and knowledge to further enhance life and give it a strength that otherwise would be missing. It's important to see others 'breaking the mould' as that is an impetus to the self to follow suite in your respective field. Magic wands don't exist, I've looked, but all around us at least for the positively minded are those who know those vital bits of information that we need to 'get on. And what's more (this is the good news) is that if you come across them they will because they will recognise your verve and stealth help you by imparting or assisting your progress. It's their purpose but the key to such people is pure and unadulterated 'positivity' nothing more nothing less, they don't want to hear about past failures they want to know about future success as that's where they want to help you strive to. And for those who are saying "Well I've never met anyone like that" just think that by saying that it's an attitude that already has streaks or self negativity and even arrogance built in. People come across what you do at certain times in life, they do so because what you have already done has planted a root that is now germinating, even if its taken years. Keeping an open mind on your subject opens up many doors and like everything else when the time is right even unbeknown to you or your project / style it all  may need modification to bear fruit, something that might initially go against the grain, but think hard as this could be the one thing that zooms you to success. There's nothing like being staid and unyielding to find success was turned into failure because of ego.

The road to success can be lonely, it can be very isolated and it can be disconcerting at times, but if what you want is that strong it can also be exciting and wondrous and prove incredibly fruitful both emotionally and financially too. Overcoming is a mental concept it's not looking at obstacles and barriers they don't exist, success is finding ways around them all and separates the leaders from the followers. As success nears the road gets narrower then it just opens up to show that wondrous view ahead, and then starts yet another journey, a slightly different one never the less a journey of differing proportions but one which can elevate your thoughts and deeds to levels beyond your previous comprehension. Sometimes we strive at things because of our narrowness of heart and mind, just to try and make something succeed for sheer spite, but from a bigger picture the greater good should always be of paramount importance. Building the house is better than mentally decorating it before it reaches completion. So many people fail because of their narrowness or blinkered attitude, and self indulgent lowness, wallowing in a pity that's akin to losing before you start. If you feel low then your approach and even writing skills will enhance that for others to subliminally pick up. A smile both internally and externally opens up endless possibilities, it shows whatever you are going through that you are not going to be beaten or be put down no matter what. Success is that close as it starts from within.

SOFT INTELLIGENCE

No matter who we are we like to think we have an edge somewhere in life on some topic no matter what it is, whether it's gardening, politics, car maintenance, cooking, football, the list is endless. That single topic may be our only claim to fame but it's never the less important to us as it has an inner ambiance that resonates every time the subject comes up and it stimulates those areas pertaining to it. Outside of that topic (or those topics) we do what we have to do to get on in life, it's sometimes a world away from our hearts desires but we do it and often quite proficiently too and it pays our way to us doing what we can afford. It's not a totally satisfactory situation but it works and often where our real stimulus lies isn't an area where we can in all reality work, even if at times we see others who are almost incompetent working in such areas. The workplace market today as it is and many of whom are currently working in certain sectors are increasingly changing their jobs mid life to something that they have never done before. And there are companies who are not only willing to take on such people but because from past experience they know if those who love what they do have a chance to do it, they often excel where those who do it through necessity just plod along. However, the reality is there aren't still that many companies willing enough to venture via this route and the mechanics within companies are so staid and narrow and straight laced that for then it's a step too far.

The work force splits into two areas leaders and followers, it can further be broken down into those who can not only work on their own but are willing and have an inherent knowledge as to going it alone, and those who have very similar attributes but need to be employed and have someone else do the background paper work. There's no better or worse in this as it's the brain power that's the operative product and not the 'modus operandi' and that's the difference only. However for very advanced thinking views of life take on a whole new meaning in that personal perception is often far in excess of that of those who are in recruitment be it in house or the commercial variety, and gross misunderstanding and perceptions is often a terminating factor of 'brilliant or even good minds' being constantly turned down. Whereas those who are 'lesser' in knowledge often get jobs because their intellect isn't so far advanced and everyone can understand them more easily. This is the "easy" or "hard" option in life for many shunted around at the immature and inferior discretion of others.

The bottom line however is very straight and forthcoming in that those who have "above average" intelligence in an area of life not necessarily coupled with life skills nor common sense have at their finger tips a whole plethora of work which they would have done for themselves as that would be their personal credential. For without that life and what you are thinking revolves solely within your mind and therefore is oblivious to anyone else, no matter who they are. Artists have to paint, writer have to write, cooks have to cook, inventors have to invent, and so it goes on, they just have to do it and put down or do what excites within. It's this portfolio that eventually makes the grade and overrides the setbacks and negative comments from the uninitiated and pathetic to those who oppose your whole ideas often just for the sake of it, and the lowest denominators in life - critics. We all have a degree of intelligence and often super intelligent people are in reality plodders even if at a high level of understanding. It's where like for like cross currents meet and form an eddy or whirl pool, intelligence and perceptive ability in a certain field meld to form a reality that's more often than not above what many can understand or even wish to understand as it's baffling for them to say the least or even uncomfortable.

Humans can be quite cruel when it comes to making a decision based on areas in which they feel threatened or not totally at liberty to enter into because they know it's beyond them, even if they understand the gist of it all. They also don't like to ask for help either in many cases and hypothesise bringing into the scenario a whole list of obstacles and credentials that are in reality nothing to do with the subject in question, but just to justify their own failings and decisions that they put to other underlings who don't understand either but agree because they can't or daren't question what is also beyond them. The good news is that eventually those that press on supersede the underlings, the failures and gatekeepers of society as they gently rot away not being wanted by anybody and then realising how many lives they potentially screwed up and what assets they could have employed to their credit. The truth will out in the end as it always does, it's just stamina and will power that in the long run conquers the idiots in-between.

ARE YOU PART OF THE PROBLEM

Endlessly chewing over the past, ruminating over the present and regurgitating the failures, staring at the closed doors, reminiscing at all the endless cul de sac's that you've come across guarantees just one thing, you're never ever going to get a break because you're looking at the past. The future whatever it is is there for you, but if your mind is focused upon other negative things then you are sadly going to miss out on the opportunities, the openings, the entrances, the open doors, the conduits, the fast tracks, the quantum leaps and all the rest. Life is looking forward as that's the direction you are travelling. So many people view life and what's in it as a series of insurmountable events based always on the past or even hereditary conditions or self created visions of fear that stymies all before them. Problems as we perceive them are events that we identify as not being conducive to our need or cause, so that in itself is debatable as to whether it's a problem or not or how we are mentally placed to take remedial or appropriate action to move forward making our perceived problem a thing of the past. Problems vary in magnitude and proportion and thus they happen in our lives and those of others daily, sometimes with devastating consequences others with consequences of little merit that we bolster up and cause to be out of all proportion, this is how we take on board our own thought process and value, selfishness has a great deal to play in how we deal with anything in life.

Today's increasing "blame culture" is an option that many take to both absolve themselves of any connection to the problem other than to seek the "victim mentality" and at the same time try to solicit the sympathy vote so hopefully someone will try and tackle their problem for them. It seldom works as this route implies deeply within that your own value is of little worth and that your future is not going to be of any worthwhile substance, i.e. life is going to be a struggle hopping from event to event to try and get by. It's got to be said that problems aren't the best thing to happen to us as they nearly always take a bite out of our plans and fill our minds with thoughts of immediate change or even re-routing what we had planned to take in the extra work needed to get back on track again. Having said that the adage "every cloud has a silver lining" can in many instances work to our long term benefit if we have an open mind as to what's happened and not make everything that doesn't go our way as a drama, which some do and some cultures definitely do. The more of an even keel we can keep our thoughts on the better life always is as we can then enjoy the highs and not get bogged down in artificial lows which has a tendency to permanently make us sceptical about life in general, and then we lose out by default.

Whatever besets and befalls us integrates us into the situation, whether it's a car accident, a bereavement, our washing machine spewing water all over the floor, or our TV breaking down just before the favourite late night movie we have been waiting to see. Or that a strike with the airlines has curtailed our long awaited and saved up for holidays, or just before we embark on our house extension we are made redundant, or our beloved partner is diagnosed with a terminal illness, problems exist in all shapes and sizes and are as real to the individual regardless of their magnitude, comparisons are a useless linkage. How we deal with our lives is how we enjoy them or get by ourselves, if we forever tell all and sundry about our problems or indeed anyone who will listen we quickly lose our ability to cope as we give our problem gravitas and thus it starts in our mind to becoming a living reality which takes on a mantle of its own as opposed to a passing incident.

Whatever involves us needs to be remedied, procrastination only increases the stress factor and aggravates the final act of rectification. We are always part of the problem otherwise there wouldn't be a problem, it's how like everything to do with us we deal with it and mentally place it in a pecking order that makes it workable and effective in its execution or long term understanding. If we don't find mental solace it becomes a nightmare of Hollywood proportions which we then have created a scenario that we have to live by and that in itself will have consequences that will ultimately implode and bring us down even further. We must however never ever lose sight of the good things in life, and the conversations that many put out such as "how can I see good things in life when I'm going through this" etc, or words to that effect just goes to show how narrow mindedness of the self can effectively bring one down and form a platform of unhappiness that may be there for ever. Ingrained thoughts are at times the most difficult to shift and people who create them tend to hold on to them as a crux for their entire future life. We are an entity of our own making, like it or not the smile we have on our face may cover up a whole multitude of unsavoury incidents, but those that make the effort to smile regardless do enjoy the best of what life can bring as opposed to the worst others create themselves.
