BECOMING WHOLE AGAIN

It's almost a fad to talk about a "oneness" of life, becoming stable for some is a fantasy, yet mental health is the biggest problem area in the West. Much of it is not in fact an illness as such it is a condition that is self induced because individuals literally 'let go' of life and opt for others or someone else or whatever it is they deem as a higher entity to fight their battles or live life as an adjunct for themselves. They seek to following devised stories and hyped glamour and rancid reporting by low life journalists, they seek to follow the ups and downs of celebrities that live partly in rehab clinics and have regular therapy sessions to keep themselves afloat. The single nearly always fare worse than those who have stable relationships, and by that it's usually "married" relationships not just two people shacking up together. There is something about a person who has been or is married that has a degree of stability that others rarely have, even if the relationship didn't work out. Stability can affect many gay people as their relationships are predominantly transient, and for those who are single throughout (gay or straight) age often makes them become 'precious' or very much introverted in their overall thoughts, not exclusively but overall. There is something that saying "I do" to each other in front of witnesses as a base for a life together that gives many an inner tranquil 'meaning' and "understanding" and 'confidence' that other just don't experience at all, regardless of any ultimate outcome.

However, being whole and enjoying a 'oneness' in life can be very real for everybody, married, single, gay, straight and anything else that comes into the scenario of life today. Hollowness and shallowness are self caused, as is the "me" factor, where everything is about the self. There is a massive difference between looking after yourself and being selfish, the problem is when you don't know the difference and life revolves around self induced likes and dislikes and habits and routines because there is only you in your life. Cossetting yourself becomes for some a way of life and a norm and it gets worse as one gets older until one can actually turn into a cranky old person and lose out terribly on events in life. Singles clubs, relationship clubs, dating sites on the net (comes under the gaming section now not relationships), etc are all there to get your hard earned cash and just possibly find a mate or rarely a friend, and if you you are not particularly fussy lots of sex too. Whatever action you indulge in has a repercussion that matures with age and can bring into force mental unrest plus jaundiced and sceptical thoughts based on you indulging in a shallowness of life. Where others become particularly nasty or bad you throw judgment at, yet half the problem of your own rhetoric is you. Remember if you are the result of many failed relationships or friendships you are the common denominator not the other person or people.Your failures are a result of something you didn't get right, not everyone else, even if it's just bad judgment.

Stability is a badge of identity of whom you are, it's how you see life, it has to be no one else can see life through your eyes. How you interact with life, people, situations, how caring and generous you may be not necessarily financially but of yourself, knowledge, time, listening, befriending etc, it all forms a picture that identifies you as a person. Being judgmental and arrogant brings about a surly, tetchy and embittered future where upset and coarse conversations keep on making life worse as one then finds that peace in life is not within as you've just sold out to bad taste and sarcasm and short tempered bouts of anger. Self ego worship, having "nice" people around you is fine, but like anything else in life it is a quality not quantity thing. The universal antidote to everything negative is 'love', where love is happiness reigns, where love is not present anything that can happen that is bad and fair game for disharmony, very few escape that void even if they think they know about love - it's usually a mechanically controlled financially volatile entity nothing more, it's that pathetic. Keeping our own council is par for the course of self enlightenment, seeing others and life for what it is but not getting embroiled in the detritus of it all, not getting sucked in and dragged down by the thoughts of others which is of little meaning and divisive in context. So many are paying the price for going astray "just because they could" which sidles away from correct thought and the "all about me" syndrome of having to have others of a particular vein in your life to make yourself feel better.

Like everything in life there's a stop point, a point at which what we did or are doing comes to a close, either by design or default, it matters not. Living the best we can regardless of the trappings around us is paramount as that brings in the best inner feelings one can ever get, a feeling of inner contentment and that quenched feeling in the pit of your stomach that all is definitely well, even when it at times isn't. Of course the notion of good takes courage as it means at times letting go of mind constructs and years of lecherous thoughts over "life candy" as a substitute for real empathy with humanity, old habits die hard and are at times mild forms of addiction, where one "has to" do it just to feel good. People with real love attract like minded souls, all else is a fabricated and devised thought which is transient and here lies the problem at where we started, mental stability.

IS THE NEW LEFT - RIGHT?

It's becoming more and more common today than ever before for the press and associated media including the television to start revelling in the 'ping pong' effect of side bashing, asking comments from opposition on anything just to make a story line, more than the physical content of the story itself. Today it all seems to be predominantly publish a story then on to the next as if the last story is superfluous in every detail, which in publishing terms it usually is. Catching the glance of readers / viewers who are so used to ongoing visual flash points of information that the attention span for most people is at times equal to that of the proverbial goldfish. However within all of this lies a real element of sanity and truth, it may be fuzzy at times and it may be even hidden in subterfuge and rhetoric, yet it's there and those who have a working braincell can usually spot it through the dearth of smart prose and the writers own slant on the bias of it all. Wherever you go in life there are those who are for and against, there isn't really a "one size fits all" even if appears that at times some areas come close to it. Left V right, the good and great versus the underdog, those that do against those that don't, those that believe life is for those who work for it and those who believe others should pay for anyone who wants it, and so the endlessly sided debate continues. Those that forever begrudge success and those that do nothing and frown on those that have had a go and pulled it off, regardless of the enormity of what they have achieved. Nothing new, and it's an attitude that's here to stay, you can usually "see" who says what and why by the actual tone and stance of the vocabulary used that depicts those that say what they say. The successful are always  - or nearly always positive whilst those that live bearing grudges do just that bearing grudges as a life cause and thus cause a whole manner of negative entities within their lives.

Wherever you go in the world there is always the "left" no matter what the left is about they seem to be endlessly struggling with pushing that proverbrial "water up hill" syndrome. Seemingly too their offices are staffed with quite dull people, although not always unpleasant but can never let themselves go for fear that "enjoyment" may overcome them and then they would lose their status at being "lefties" and that would never do. But no matter which side of the fence you reside, you need something or someone to aspire to, because if you don't then there is no purpose and no point in going down that avenue. Left people have Left ideas, forever feeling threatened by their inane and often inept remarks about reality as it is, the "bigger picture" it uses terms of "them" and "they " as blanket terminology for areas of life that they either despise or have a grudge with, or is it that the "them's" and "they's" are actually successful hence they are where they are and the "Lefties" are in fact still dragging the shackles of idealism and bygone times behind and as such just can't transcend the quagmire that they are constantly stirring up for themselves. It's not that in fact the "left" are constant losers, the struggle in the Middle East and other countries to overturn religiously run zealots and unelected dynasties and families is working, and it will happen, even though in the mayhem of it all there will be enormous casualties casualties because the 'loving' ruling families don't want to give up their cosy relationship with power and money, so fighting ensues.

There is a new Left emerging in the world, one of the general populous, one that isn't focused on wealth as such nor "rights" nor anything else, it's a Left that is encompassing the general morality with regards commercial fraud, ultra smart marketing by multi-national companies, banking greed and inept regulatory bodies. Targeting weaknesses in demographics to sell more at any cost, hearing political rhetoric and knowing it's just that, sounds good but does little - and in effect it doesn't sound all that good anymore. Where unjust is becoming unacceptable and where "politically correctness" is in fact unacceptable too where "others" taking on the mantle of what can and can't be said - which is not on. Honesty like water finds its own level, reforming sentences so as not to cause offence and reduce impact is for the dull, insipid and lonely who seek attention from those they wish to protect even though they have not been asked or elected to do so. Where the words "transparent" and "motive" are required in order to validate what you have done or said as opposed to just doing it and hoping it will work.  This new Left isn't struggling by and large, nor does it have wacky ideas or illusions of what should or shouldn't be it wants to be treated fairly like a human being should be, it wants to be thought about as a person and not a statistic or number for someone to allot or apportion without emotion to a category and then forgotten. This new Left wants to enjoy designer clothes and nice houses if that's their choice, they don't want to be associated with the "roll your own fags" disheveled clothed people from the misfit left that forever outlines them as clannish groups wandering around looking for a home to associate with and complain about others.

The "New Left" are in fact quite "conservative" in many respects, upholding values and potentials and commercialism, they don't want to be associated with "old school" as that now smacks of corruptness, nepotism, divisive and engineered fraud, it stymies growth with bombastic gatekeepers holding out the exceptionally bright in favour of home grown fodder. With technology today vast areas of life including those in finance and law can be done more efficiently and 100 times faster and on time via electronic means, eradicating unnacounted time spans, grossly enhanced and smugly generated fees. Where threats by the big finance corporations pose that if their staff are pushed they will all move to another far away place - let them go, you don't think that there aren't those waiting for that to happen. After all if these irreplaceable people all died overnight would the companies close - NO - they would continue. The real freedom in the West is not dissimilar to those in the Middle East wanting to gain their say in life after what has been 'guardedly ringfenced' and held on to for years. The new left is already pupating, it's metamorphosing as we speak it's growing subliminally until the tipping point is reached and then it will by default become the "New Right" and the left will be the 'has beens' who will quietly live on the fat of their own lot and slowly be the new equivalent of the "roll your own fags"  brigade of another era.

LIVING IN THE SLIPSTREAM (The SLIPSTREAM EFFECT)

All through life there are those that do and those that don't, some have relative grandeur thrust upon them for doing little, they just have happen to be in the right place at the right time, others perhaps who have solid and worthy credentials often find the going tough, to say the least, but that's the way it is. There are industries such as the media, fashion, sports, entertainment and such like that have an army of people whose sole responsibility it is to "milk" the potential out of what their clients do, and why not, we all like to get the best from our actions in life. Even multi-national companies try to enhance their remit or stance in life with PR as do politicians. The slightest hint however of a misdemeanor or indiscretion and the vultures are hovering around for a story even if at the end of the day they are wildly economical with the truth and have to run with a rumour, it's often enough to ignite something even if it isn't true, but hey, we are not talking morals here so it's understandable. The "Stock Exchange is based upon rumours about a company whether true or not and 'a run' on a companies stocks are affected globally just on heresay. We even do our own PR by dressing according to how we think we can impress unless of course we don't care, but then that shows too, our actions do have consequences sometimes even to our total detriment. Our attitude yet again plays a vital role in how we move forward and how we communicate in an "effective" way with others as opposed to "just being nice", there is a difference. Our mind talk affects our "attitude" and how we accept the pitfalls and move on or become maudlin and purposefully reticent in further moves is down to us. If we can't laugh at past mistakes then we become useless to ourselves, especially if we relive the bad moments every time we think of them, it means we never let go. If we never let go we never move forward, we can't, we can't climb the ladder if we don't lift and move our feet from the rungs below, we have physically got to do it, not just agree with the notion in our minds.

Those that generate their own charisma, those that take ownership of their life are those that by and large enjoy what they have even if it's not ideal. Those that forever read about others plights or successes or try to follow others other than on a mere informatory note end up with little if not nothing else in life but a gleaned series of stories, nothing more. It's nice to be in the company of successful people, and those that just are at ease with themselves come what may and those that don't feel the need to demonstrate who or what they are as it just exudes from them all around. Whereas the followers always seem to have something to prove or a need to latch on to someone or pick up from someone their 'sparkle' or even worse have a dichotomy of thoughts wanting to be associated with success but at the same time having negative and possible embittered thoughts about the whole thing - unfortunately not uncommon! What we most fear is what controls us, it's what we dwell upon and what we forever regurgitate in our minds and possibly writings too. Those that "don't have" are the most vociferous in the "life's unfair games", holding grudges, always seeing that the 'other man's grass is always greener', always making excuses why others can do it but they can't, and of course no one wants to know because it's just so boring. If you can't say anything nice at all, then shut up, it doesn't do you any good and it places others away from you - if you hadn't found that out already. We are a product of what we say and do, and after a while that product subsumes us and then we become bland and 'old hat', even old products need updating.

We can't afford to live in the 'slipstream' of anyone or anything we have to be us, and that doesn't mean we have to be arrogant or anything else. If some people don't like us that's fine, because we don't like everyone either, and if we come across people time and time again who really don't like us then it says a lot about us more than it does about them. But there are people who will like us and there are those who will love us too, even if we are a bit of an "odd ball", there are plenty of "odd balls" out there seeking other "odd balls", but if you never look then they definitely won't come a knocking on your door, you'll die waiting. You only get out of life what effort you put in, and effort is pertinent effort not necessarily hard work, there is a difference, and all effort must be met with a smile not as a chore, if it's a chore then it really says that your current 'attitude' stinks like mega-time. Life is really "sensitive" to attitude stances, so it pays to be positive even if you feel you want to burst into tears, being positive is the only thing that will keep your ship afloat. Many "social sites" that we belong to and feel are "us" we still need to be ourselves even though any community spirit which we get from those sites may enhance our school of thought. We are just great being who we are, lets make it work for us and not let it be a hindrance, let's do what we can and then we will be who we really are.
